The headband, I agree with. The cable, not so much since it's an e-stat. There's a significant enough risk of destroying the driver due to the voltages involved that swapping cables is a bad idea.
Seems like Hifiman has massively improved its old Jade (2) model. The problem is always the niche all-in-one system with an estat. Can't swap the headphone out easily to anything else besides an estat so the upgrade path is limited. I think with the current very resolving planars there is not that much of a need for going into that direction, it's just hard getting into and out of... Great review!
Re the noise floor issue you had with the B3, I'd wager it's something to do with the high voltage of the HFM energiser creating more EMR that your other amps/energisers and the tubes in the B3 picking it up.

I almost want to send you some custom pads or put you in contact with NtraX Mod Design. The custom pads I ordered from him totally transformed the Mini Shang for me. Literal night and day difference for the better, maybe the biggest jump in technicalities and capabilities I've ever heard from a pad swap.
On the Lampizator, how do the HE1000 Stealth and Arya Organic fare? Are they flipped about the Shang Mini and are below the Shang as the Shang is to the HE1000se?

The preset was made simple to preserve the natural character of the headphones. You can adjst the gain on the first filter to change the level of bass.
Wave dude. Spectacular job of explaining the sound and the pluses and minuses of these phones. For me, the fixed cable is a deal killer, I want a user replaceable cable for when it breaks. The aesthetics of the headband aren't great. Maybe they should try for better quality at a $3000 system price point, still much cheaper than the Warwick LOL. Two comments on your channel. I think the relentless self-promotion is holding you back. I've watched about 20 of your videos, and it is getting tiresome. It's just a time waster. If you must shoot some new ones. And still no thanks button. It's an easy way to get you some $$. Why not? Peace out.
