I agree Pedro that the movies is first not the 4K or 7.1 audio or Dolby Vision etc.. Have more dvd's than Blu-rays myself and some VHS (The rest donated on a move which i regret). The channel is developing and you are doing a great job with the equipment you have. Keep going!
If you are using Audacity to clean up the sound, I recommend high-pass filtering your voice at 200 Hz (6 dB roll-off). That gently cuts the sound at 200 Hz by 3 dB and at 100 Hz by 7 dB making the voice little thinner, but also less boomy (the fundamental frequency of your voice is about 85 Hz). Also, everything below your voice such as possible 50 Hz electric hum gets attenuated. Recorded voice can be high-pass filtered as high as at 300 Hz, but 200 Hz is less aggressive. This kind of filtering often increases intelligibility of speech, especially for those who listen to the recording in acoustically challenging environments. Just to make clear, you have a very good and clear voice. Listening to it is very easy. What I say above is just a "pro tip" to make the sound quality even better. I haven't seen any movies released in 2024. I didn't even know there is Beverly Hills Cop 4! My attention is on the older movies these days. Yesterday I watched the Yasuzo Masumura 1958 film "Giants and Toys." That movie has amazing colours! Not the "orange & teel"/sepia/etc. colour crap of so many movies of the 21st century... ...the day before I watched James Glinkenhaus' The Exterminator from 1980 which is awesome and one of the biggest movie discoveries of the year for me. It might have been you Pedro who got me interested of that movie. If so, thanks!
I like these informal, unscripted chats. So much more engaging. 👍 I'll look our for your xmas special.
