Great results Ferd, I've also placed the machined surface on to my scanner/printer and printed the gasket . Works great, you just have to cut it out and punch the holes. Obviously it only works with gasket paper that isn't to thick for the scanner to cope with.. Thumbs up to you..

Ya ever use chalk on the surface of metal to make the outline on the gasket media itself? I rub the metal with the chalk and then flip and press onto the sheet.

Ive tried everything but that. Where have you been all these years. Ive often wondered what the heck I could put on there to do that. There's chalk in the kid's room Im trying it. love it and thanks

I've used a pencil/lead/graphite , I just go around the entire edge, than my cardboard pressed & rubbed down with ether 1/2" or 3/4" p.v.c.pipe about 4 to 5 in worth. It transfers very nicely. I also use the same harbor freight punch set as well. Than use Indian head shellac. It's a little brown bottle from Autozone/Parts store. Always works for me

Those are all great techniques. Ill add those items to my arsenal of gasket making supply's. Ive got pvc pipe all over the place and never thought of it. Thanks for the input.

@CaptFerd always, I'm 54 and I learn so many new things from young & older people. It's always nice to see different techniques and ways to fix or just help out. Brother I wish you a wonderful night, and take care
