I haven’t ever had this problem. But mine is only 2yrs old. My issue is that my filters don’t last the said amount of time. Going to try the pro one filters.
Finally I found it again I need to put my pennies together and get another one you don't realize how much you miss something until it's gone about 4 years ago I purchased one of these and it served us well until the house fire in December 2023 now as we slowly pick up the pieces to try and put some kind of life back together the entire family misses this one simple invention thank you BP if I can find the money the beginning of this next month you'll be seeing another order from me 😊👍
The only time I have this slow flow rate is when the water is actively filtering through the filters. After the water is in the bottom tank, it flows with no issues. I only have one filter and no Aqua Flow Max.
Viewer note. It Does NOT last for 5000 gallons. Each filter is rated for 200 gallons. I can get about 1000 filtered before the filters clog but I do not know how pure it is at that time.
I feel like it would be better for the water to move through the filter slower. This gives the carbon a chance to absorb more chemicals and toxins. I would prefer a slower filtering time.
Does changing the flow rate effect the filtering ability and/or the life span of the filters? Certain filters are designed to filter at a specific flow rating in order to remove all contaminates from the water. Changing the flow rate can significantly effect the filtering ability of certain types of filters, and I was wondering if any test were done before claims about water quality and filter life were made. With that said, I understand vapor lock and hydraulic principals, and I don't doubt it still filters very well. I was just wondering if changing the flow rate effected the filters ability to remove the worst, and smallest, of things you would want filtered from very dirty water????
I have never tested this but I personally don't see where or how it would make any difference because fast or slow it still has to go through the exact samething.
It doesn't do anything to the filter rate, just the flow rate out of the bottom tank. It's like if you took a small bottle of water, opened the top, and turned it upside down, it would go glug-glug-glug, as the air has to replace the water coming out. But if you turned it upside down and poked a hold in the bottom, it would all go out quickly. This think is essentially putting that air hole for the bottom tank, but in a way that allows no contaminants in.
The “plumbing pipes” that run to the roof are called vents. They release or “break”, the vacuum that is created. Things will still drain without vents, just at a slow rate
Jesse the replacement filters do not come close to 5000 gallons. Been using Alexa Pure for years and it is great just the replacement filters do not last as long as advertised.
We won't get an answer to this anytime soon, all acceleration is not an improvement yet. If these devices are tested, it is without a 'chimney', otherwise they would REALLY include them. Everything needs its time.😉
All this does is allow air to bypass the filter and allow the water to flow freely from the bottom container. The slow part of the filtration between containers would already be done before you draw water from the lower container.

I have 4 filters in mine. It is not coming close to 5,000 gallons per filter. It is gumming up and slowing down already despite cleaning the filters. We'll be talking with MPS to see if they have tips to help.

Is there a tell-tale sign when it's time to get a new filter? Have no idea how many gallons i have used in the last year..but i fill a pitcher with it everyday, sometimes twice.
If it is anything like the Brita water filters that I have used on my faucet for years you can taste a difference in the water when the filter needs replacing. I just ordered the Alexapure, can't wait to use it. We are on well water with a lot of sediment in it. If you are on well water you will probably have to clean the outside of the filter occasionally.
Round up. Say 2 gallons a day. 365 x 2 =730 gallons a year. A filter is for up to 5000 gallons. 5000 ÷ 730 = 6.849 years. ( depending on water put into it)
If you have an Alexapure Pro, you need this. Buy it without hesitation. I've been using the AquafloMax for almost two years now. It completes the system perfectly

This works Great... I got mine last year and it's been a fantastic in getting the water out fast... especially if you make Coffee or fill up large bottles of water a putting them into the fridge....
Install it in the upper tank, it will take the place of where one of the Filters would go... You'll only be able to fit 3 filters instead of 4 when you add his device... I'm using 2 filter and his device and I can filter an empty bottom and fill the top.. the bottom will be 90% filtered in less than 45 mins... the rest will be bit longer.. due to gravity.... but it's the best water filter system I've ever used and I've used about 5 different ones.. This device really speeds things up for getting it out of the bottom.
I ordered one and got two filters. I also have a zero water. I used the tester on zero water and it’s a zero. I just used it on the Alexa and it’s EXACTLY THE SAME as our tap water that I put in it. Over 300!! Very very mad! It doesn’t do anything.

BP E/W, glad you posted this. I saw this device when I got my system couple years ago and saw its advantage. (Learned it from hauling water to livestock) Sure makes a difference filling up coffee pot. Answering the question about when to change filters. First have an extra on on hand and you will know when it needs to be changed. In the mean time Don't worry about it. ENJOY
I've had mine for more than a year with 1 filter and the flow Max and flow still has hardly changed from fast since new! Expect filter to last at least 4 years or more.

I haven't experienced a issue of the vacuum occurring in the lower tank yet, since my use is infrequent and air will eventually leak back in. That device could come in handy for frequent family use, though.
Don't forget the dogs, mine get only filtered water. This works great! I also put 3 small chunks of Elite Shungite in the top tank, and 3 in the bottom tank for extra pure water. I use 4 half gallon glass bottles and fill them with the final product. Note: I bought a packaged set of 3 wire brushes at Home Depot, nylon, brass and stainless steel (the size of large toothbrushes). I only use the stainless steel brush to brush the carbon filter along with a scouring pad, for routine cleaning.

Spring water is Tap water out of a faucet. I used to pick up empty Ozarka Spring Water gallon jugs in Sherman Texas and take them down to Houston where they would fill them with Tap water. Purified water is Purified Spring is not Purified.
My filter stopped working at 4 months. I've done most of the fixes. Still doesn't work. I knew it was a gimmick when I bought it. Im refering to the filter itself. Idk about your product but I'll never get what the reason is for making a fix product for an inferior product
Ridiculous, just place a little plastic clip or something non-metal over the top lip of the bottom container. Then place the top container on like normal. That little added piece between the stainless containers will give you all the air venting you need. That beats adding another piece inside that further reduces the volume of water.

It depends on the how clean the water that you are filtering is. For example, water from a pond should have more particles to filter out that city water or deep well water.
Don't be a skinflint, pay the extra $20 for this great accessory, unless you want to spend hours of your life harvesting your filtered water. I'm not a shill, I bought several for myself and friends

Do me and you a favor and dry your stainless steel on the inside with a white paper towel. Look at the white paper towel and see if you see what I see. Then wash it with hot water and soap and dry it with a white paper towel again. Can you still see what I'm seeing? Now wash it another time in the dishwasher and dry it with a white paper towel again. I'm on my 4th wash and still pulling mystery gray substance out of the inside walls. Now I'm wondering how much of the manufacturing substances or whatever it really is is on or in the actual filters. I'm contacting alexapure about this no doubt. No way in H--l would I do that. You don't even have to pull the filter out just take the top tank off and fill it with clean water and clean it with a rag then rinse it out and put it back on.

Try scrubbing the outside and apparently they can get air bubbles I put in two brand new filters and they're not draining
It's not that they don't last.. they get clogged and you have to clean them and prime them again

Yes but the airflow tube just helps the already filter water out of the storage tanks faster not speeding up the filtering.

Odd, the valve or gasket that seats valve to tank? Rob the spigget from a coffee canister like you see at a buffet.

This is BS. I've owned an Alexapure for Years, Many Years
and have never had a Slow Flow Rate that Was Shown Here.
This only happens when you are low in the water.
The Alexa Pure Pro has a metal spout and the water comes out of the bottom after filtered in seconds. Seems they fixed the design.

Do me and you a favor and dry your stainless steel on the inside with a white paper towel. Look at the white paper towel and see if you see what I see. Then wash it with hot water and soap and dry it with a white paper towel again. Can you still see what I'm seeing? Now wash it another time in the dishwasher and dry it with a white paper towel again. I'm on my 4th wash and still pulling mystery gray substance out of the inside walls. Now I'm wondering how much of the manufacturing substances or whatever it really is is on or in the actual filters. I'm contacting alexapure about this no doubt. A bit disturbing considering the directions say to just wash it out with cold water. Hmmmm.🤔 Bp you convinced me to buy one with your new video with better lighting. I figured you and your viewers would want to know what I'm experiencing.

No way in H--l would I do that. You don't even have to pull the filter out just take the top tank off and fill it with clean water and clean it with a rag then rinse it out and put it back on.
