    LYRICS:
What's the worst way to die?
    Burning to death, or drowning?
    Everyone laughs in derision
    There's no hope at all
Why is the world rotting away?
Howling in pain, they slowly die
All of the sorrow is murderous
    The insanity
    They're calling me
    (Burn up)
    It's do or die
    (Burn up)
    Get ready for hell
(Bring down justice to the wicked)
Don't look away from the mistakes
Open your eyes, and see the truth
When lightning cracks the blackened sky
Listen to the screams of distress
It's like a bad dream but it's not
No way to get out, a living nightmare
Bring down the hammer of wrath
Who will be the next to burn?
    God only knows the victim
    Everyone knows they are innocent
    All the hope is gone
    In despair they pass away
There was no hope to begin with
Even the angels are giving up
    Looking down on us
Will this night ever break dawn?
(Bring down justice to the wicked)
What's the worst way to die?
    Burning to death or drowning?
    Everyone laughs in derision

Two years of pandemic, losing their founding bandmember, two marriages, two babies...a global search for a new bassist, and constant wondering if they would be able to come back--and they uncorked this as the first song of their first live set? Insane. Thanks for getting to this!

Beautiful tunes and lyrics, magical live performances, stellar musicianship, and tons of charisma: it's all there in perfect harmony. We are blessed to have these ladies in our lives.

These ladies can thrash with the best of them, and I mean from present and past. Miyako & Midori, in my opinion, are the best dual leads ever, present and past. Haruna is such a hugely underrated drummer, one of the best I've heard. Asami is "the one and only voice" for a reason, as I have never heard another voice like her. It's powerful and forward, and that last 16 second hold of that note!! Fami is an amazing technical bassist, and she is the perfect little sister to join the sisterhood. Her smile is larger than life. That smile and pointing at Fami during her solo, just so personal and awesome to see. You can see that this, the first song they played live in almost two years, was very emotional for them.
I have listened to metal for over 50 years, and I honestly cannot say there has ever been a higher level of musicianship in any metal band I have ever heard. Enjoyed your reaction, as always.

Thanks for your reaction. 'The Hammer of Wrath' can be called a kind of calling card of LOVEBITES. This is one of the band's first songs. The ladies play "The Hammer of Wrath" starting with their performance on "WOMEN'S POWER - Girls Band Next Generation"' (Tokyo November 18, 2016), when the band first performed in front of audiences as LOVEBITES. The set-list of LOVEBITES consisted of 7 songs and opened with the song 'The Hammer of Wrath' .
Starting from 'WOMEN'S POWER - Girls Band Next Generation', the song Miho 'The Hammer of Wrath', together with the musical composition 'The Awakening' (which was composed by Miyako), opened the vast majority of LOVEBITES concerts. Or opened 'Encore' at these concerts.
During the audition for a new bassist ( '5th Element' Competition ), 'The Hammer of Wrath' was also one of the 4 required songs (two of which were written by Miho) that the candidates had to perform. It was very important to the ladies of LOVEBITES that the new bass player could perform complex bass lines as well as Miho. According to the results of the final of the Competition (Stage 3, August 2022 : Fami and Aya), Fami became the winner.

First time with Fami, first LIVE show in nearly 2 years!!! They were rusty, and non engaged.......LMAO, the ladies exploded out of the gate and guess what, they are only going to get better with more time together on stage. Midori and Miyako really spent the time getting their insane talent honed even further. Haruna is back and the UFC is happy as she likely beat everyone into tapping out (that Pearl kit needs rehab after this performance.), MMA fighters wish they hit as hard, as fast and as often as Haruna does!! Asami turned into the little stage Napoleon controlling the crowd, the band and the entire show. She is so sweet and nice off stage but put a mic in her hand and on stage she becomes the Metal Goddess like the rest of the group. Forget filling Miho's shoes (that would never happen) Fami brought her own pair and they fit this band just perfectly. Her smile lit the entire venue like she won the lottery which she did. Good one as always gents, the rabbit-hole just got dug a lot deeper (LOL).

0:54 "We ... are .. baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!" 😁 A shout of relief and victory. Relief, for it was their first live show after a 2 years' hiatus. Victory, for they had managed to sort burdening things out, and were able to return on stage - with their new bass player *Fami* .
This was Fami's _first ever_ live show with a celebrated Metal band! She is an experienced bass player, artist and produder, but she only knew positive feedback from via nice E-Mails and Emijis. In that show, she experienced a paying and cheering audience for the first time. Herr happy bright smile is absolutely honest amazement. 😁

What a joy to watch and listen to this performance- THAT'S how you open your comeback concert!
Gents, I am super hyped this weekend, with a ticket for the Lovebites livestream concert from Tokyo at 6pm Sunday night AEST. From the setlists published from this current run of concerts, they are doing a lot more songs from the Judgement Day album, and of course we're hoping for Soldier Stands Solitarily (the one where Miyako apologised to Haruna and Asami during the premiere livestream album broadcast for the impossible feats of speed drumming and vocals she imposed on them!).
The stream ticket is 3900 Yen, or about $A40, probably the best value concert of the year. For that I get a front row seat, no jostling moshpit, my own choice of food and drink and no queues for the loo! 😛 And you can rewatch it for the following week. Cheers (ps please check out Nameless Warrior from the same concert bluray, first time this has been played live.)

I knew this was going to happen one day. I have had enough of watching reactions, and it just happened to be you guys that I had decided upon this monumental decision ! Personally, I am hearing nothing new. In fact, I suspect most of the reactors are reading off the same hymn sheet 😅! Just prior to this, I had just watched the whole concert again and not a reactor in sight!, somewhat blissful if I am honest. I shall wish you guys all the best for the future! p.s. don't let the Wolfpack bully you. These reactor groupies that are supposed to be fans of lovebites worry me somewhat with their obsessive child like behaviour! They are however, worthy of a novel written by Stephen King ☠️. " Children of the Wolves" maybe 🤣🤣
    Best of luck 🤟😎

Now that more than two years have elapsed since Miho's departure and Lovebites has returned to the stage with Fami and a new album earlier this year, I think we can assess the continued loss of Miho's absence. As far as musicianship, Fami is probably a more talented bassist than Miho and she will only get better. The stage presence of the two women are totally different. Fami lights up the stage while Miho was more reserved. I will continue to miss Miho however, because it was always clear that she is metal to the core and that clearly showed on stage especially when she got into full body head banging mode. The songwriting is less of a loss than I had feared. Miyako is still Miyako and Asami has stepped up to become a very strong metal composer (more songs like Dissonance please). In my opinion, the greatest loss is no more Miho lyrics. As lyricists, Miho and Asami seem to have a very different world view. They balanced each other lyrically and that balance is gone. From the debut album, her lyrics to The Hammer of Wrath and Burden of Time are dark and her lyrics for The Apocalypses are brutal (understandably brutal). Because of her songs and lyrics, Miho's legacy will never fade away.

The LOVEBITES Albums of the 'Miho Era' were more varied in musical material. There is too much music from Mao on the 'Judgement Day' Album (6 songs out of 10). If this continues, then from a heavy metal band LOVEBITES can turn into a power metal band. Which is something I personally really wouldn’t want.
Whether Fami is more talented than Miho is a very controversial issue. A matter of taste. With all due respect to Fami (she is a good bass player), but with Miho's departure, LOVEBITES lost a lot more than they gained with Fami's arrival (for a variety of reasons). Famy was able to replace Miho as bassist. Although Miho's bass sounds tighter, more suitable for metal (but that's my opinion). But otherwise, Fami has not replaced Miho and is unlikely to replace her. I could be wrong, but in my opinion, Fami doesn't have what Miho has (this is not a criticism of Fami).
If you haven’t seen it yet, I advise you to watch the latest MV 'The Legacy Within' (August 23, 2023) by CHAOS CONTROL (with Miho on bass). I think you will like this MV. Nothing personal. Best regards, Серый Лис.

@@user-lr3kc2fu9c During the "Miho Era" of Lovebites, the band released 45 original songs (not counting instrumentals). Of those 45, Mao was involved in composing 21 and Miyako was involved in composing 21 with the other 3 being the Araken composed Inspire, the Haruna composed Bravehearted and the song Nameless Warrior where everyone but Miho is given credit. Mao has always had a heavy influence on Lovebites. I do agree that the Judgement Day album is unusual with 3 Mao solo compositions but a lot was happening with Lovebites during the two year hiatus - from covid to Miho leaving to both Asami and Miyako becoming new mothers. Their next full album will be a better barometer of their musical direction. Since the last two tracks on Judgement Day are my favorites, I hope those songs are a true glimpse into the future.
Although we disagree about the bass talents of Fami, we seem to agree about the talent and legacy of Miho. Fami will never replace the stage persona of Miho nor the musical influence of Miho.

    • @user-lr3kc2fu9c
      @user-lr3kc2fu9c 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@danw6048 Of the 45 songs (2017 - 2021), Mao, as the author, wrote music for only 4 songs. The remaining 17 songs were co-author by Mao with other members of LOVEBITES. Including 10 songs - as a co-author with Miho. In addition, the author of the lyrics (good lyrics) of these songs was Miho.
For the period 2017-2021, Miho’s contribution = 23% of the songs were written with lyrics by Miho and with her participation (as a co-author of the music).
Miho left. Who will replace her? I mean as a poet and as a composer. Asami (lyrics)? But then this is an additional burden on Asami. It's always better when there are several good poets and several good composers in a band. And healthy competitionAs it was for LOVEBITES in 2016-2021.
As for the music, it turns out that Mao has already replaced Miho.
      2017 - 2021 : Out of 45 songs, Mao composed music for 4 songs as the author (8% - 9%).
2023 : Out of 10 songs ('Judgement Day'), Mao composed the music for 3 songs as the author (30%).
Mao's share of participation increased greatly. This is what I wouldn't want. I wouldn't want LOVEBITES to become like LIGHT BRINGER or LONESOME_BLUE. Then instead of speed, thrash, progressive, power, neoclassical metal ... there will be power-metal, with elements of symphonic-metal and pop-rock. A movement in this direction is already noticeable on the Album 'Judgement Day'. A good Album, but compared to previous LOVEBITES Albums, there is not such a variety of genres. If it weren't for Miyako's contribution (as a composer), LOVEBITES would come close to LONESOME_BLUE. Where the main composer and arranger is also Mao.
I have respect for Mao and the bands listed above, but I would like LOVEBITES to retain their individuality and the diversity of metal genres that they had during Miho's time.
On stage the leader was Asami, off stage the leader and 'brain' of the band was Miho. Today the fans are euphoric (after the band's latest releases), many of the Wolf Pack have elevated Fami to to “IDOL” status. LOVEBITES needs Miho, with her experience, with her ability to write songs, with her vision of where to go, etc. Fami will not be able to replace Miho in this capacity.
      Thanks for the answer.🤘😊

@@user-lr3kc2fu9c My hope for the future of Lovebites, and your fear, appear to be based on our opinions of Judgement Day. I am very happy with the album and believe there is quite a bit of variety. In my personal ranking, I have Judgement Day tied with Awakening From Abyss. Both are behind Electric Pentagram and both ahead of Clockwork Immortality. I also have the utmost faith in Miyako and a hope there will be more Asami/Miyako collaborations. I was relieved by how Judgement Day turned out and showed that Miyako is still at the top of her game and that Asami is expanding her role (I consider her the MVP of Judgement Day). I am not worried about the workload on Miyako and Asami. Miyako works fast anyway and since the next album will not be until 2025, Asami has plenty of time for both composition and lyrics (especially since she works with Ayako Kawai on the lyrics).
I disagree that Miho was the "brain" of Lovebites. After Awakening From Abyss, Miyako became the clear leader of Lovebites which might have been a factor in Miho's eventual departure. Also, Mao wrote 5 songs before Judgement Day - Edge of the World (his masterpiece), Under The Red Sky, We The United, Holy War and Spellbound.

90% of holy writings concerning prophecy are allegories that should not be taken at face value. Judgment, the flood, hellfire and many others are metaphors with a symbolic meaning, and concern only the spiritual aspect of the human being. It's in this sense that we need to look. Jesus said about understanding the scriptures: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit." The term "to enter the kingdom" means to understand the word of God expressed by the messenger and to accept it. Here are the verses that bear witness to this explanation... to meditate on: " "The one who received the seed into the good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it; he bears fruit, and one grain yields a hundred, another sixty, another thirty. And he put another parable before them, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field."

      Hi from France:
Um... LOVEBITES are Japanese and therefore were not raised in Western Judeo-Christian culture.
“Judgment day” for example has nothing to do with our biblical vision. Indeed, this same term in their culture means that the human (man and woman) on that day makes his own decisions (and no one else imposes them or influences them, he is facing himself and not 'a deity) and makes his life choices. It is therefore a beginning for a life whose objectives you decide, which you can also improve, or not.
“Holy War” is not Holy War or Jihad, but the sacred war that one must wage oneself to guide one's life throughout it.
Sorry for the Google translation, I hope it is faithful to my thoughts...
[Heu...
