Trying to get the images off my phone using my laptop and imports, left everything connected, plugged in, open and even charging all night and it still didn't work! After multiple attempts! It says I don't have enough iCloud storage, which I am trying to open up by getting the photos OFF, but apple wants me to buy more storage space first... it has gotten me so frustrated! There is the exact same thing you can use SD cards especially if you happen to have some large SD cards laying around that you use in your camcorder or DSLR camera. I have one that handles regular SD as well as micro and also has the charge pass through I got on Amazon

This is a great video. My iPhone recognizes the flash drive and shows me the content but they are grayed out, like I cannot do anything with them. When I try to save an image to the same flash drive, it doesn't let me, Save button is grayed out. I am assuming this is due to the NTFS file format, I think it needs to be FAT32. I could test this but don't want to format the flash drive since I have large video files in it which FAT32 doesn't support.

Well, the video was good but the device transfers the images in a HEIC format which requires a download to view. I just want to plug the usb in and look at the jpeg images. Is there a way to change this?
