Hi Sejal, Thanks for watching this and leaving your valuable feedback. In my opinion, Business Analyst role is definitely undergoing transformation. Just like a 'Full-Stack' Developer, I am thinking of this as 'Full-Stack' Business Analyst. Apart from core business analysis skills (elicitation, analysis, documentation and requirements management), additional skills will be required to perform and remain competitive. The new areas for a BA are: - Project Management (Project Manager, Scrum Master) - Business Process Management, especially with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) getting traction. - Business Analytics - Automation Testing - Data Analysis - Business Architecture - UI/UX Analysis With Agile (Scrum and Kanban) frameworks getting popular day-by-day, it's imperative that a Business Analyst expands his/her skill set beyond the conventional skills because he/she will need to be highly 'Cross-Functional' . Someone who can chip in here and there in addition to his/her core BA role. I would highly recommend, to pick any two from the above list and get skilled on those. Please feel free to share your thoughts as well. Thanks & Regards, Chetan Mehta chetanvmehta@skillcubator.com info@skillcubator.com +1 703-200-9921 (USA) www.skillcubator.com

Hi Anurag, Sure. We do have lot of trainees from India and elsewhere. Please email me with your exact needs. My email id is chetanvmehta@skillcubator.com Thanks & Regards, Chetan Mehta.
Hi Aaron, Yes. This course is not for someone who needs to take short cuts. This course is aimed to build strong fundamentals, theoretical base plus extensive hands-on exercises. To draw an analogy, one cannot play around with alphabets or numbers until we learn how to write them as they are supposed to. Good luck.
I have to say it is almost completely useless. A business exists to maximise its profits over its life. End of. There is no mention of profitability or how to measure it anywhere. And yes, I have been involved in business analysis for a long time including as an auditor, a financial analyst, a principal lecturer on business studies and finance degrees and masters programmes and as a finance director. I defy anyone to watch this video and go away and apply any of it to improving financial performance in a real business.
Hi Steve, Thanks for watching this. I am sorry that it was not as per your expectations. Here the term 'Business Analysis' is more from 'IT perspective' and not from 'Management' perspective. Business Analysis is a very broad term. Techniques like 'Cost-Benefit', 'SWOT', 'Make or Buy' analysis, and all financial techniques like 'Internal Rate of Return' (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Cash Flow Analysis (CFA) etc, required during the business/financial analysis, is typically done by a very senior level analyst like 'Management Analyst' or 'Business Architect'. Generally these initiatives are initiated by the management to take a very strategic decision like merger/acquisition, selling out a unit, adding new products/services, catering to new geographical areas, implementing an enterprise-wide application. But this course, on which this session is based on, is more from 'IT Perspective' where the scope of the 'Business Analyst' is to help the client in improving the current business process and either build a new or enhance an existing application/system in order to improve an overall strategic position of the client. 'Business Analyst', in this case, is never involved in all the above-mentioned strategic initiatives and mainly works closely with the business stakeholders and application implementation team to help them build new systems or improve existing systems that supports their underlying business processes. But I really appreciate your valuable feedback. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks & Regards, Chetan Mehta. 703-200-9921
Chetan: I appreciate the patience with which you explained the misleading term "Business Analysis". It is unfortunate that IIBA has used such a misleading term.
Hello Mr. Putcha, Thanks for your positive feedback. Yeah. Many people get confused with this term. PMI/IIBA should have come up with different terms or layers of Business Analysis. I like to think how we have specializations in educational degrees. For e.g. (1) BA-Strategy (2) BA-Business Process Management (3) BA-Information Systems That way it's clear which area of Business Analysis person is talking about or has expertise in. Just few ideas. Stay in touch. Thanks & Regards, Chetan Mehta.
