Love the video. I have a question. I see that many employers expect BA to prepare a regression test plan and assist in UAT. Should the test plan be one of the documents BA prepares? How does this document look like and how is it different from acceptance criteria inside user stories? Thanks.

Regarding the test plan or test scripts, that does not fall under the scope of actual scope of Business Analysis but again these request are common to business analyst. Test scripts contains the test scenarios and test cases which are all derived from acceptance criteria. It has the scenario, outcome and steps to execute the test case. Test Plan is a overall plan of the testing cycle. it contains roughly start and end dates , scope and the resources involved. I will create a video on testing related activities for business analyst and will cover in detail there.

But if you are looking to switch to BA, I would recommend the below ones for starters ECBA from IIBA CSPO from scrum alliance These don't require any experience and will provide a good foundation for business analyst skills

Business Analysis Techniques : you would need to learn the techniques that can help you in gathering and documenting requirments. This is the key BA skill. 2. Domain Knowledge - This is the business knowledge you bring to table. This is another key area which will help to get started in the world of business analysis. It can be banking , supply chain etc.. but being niche will help. 3. Soft Skills : effective communication , presentation , networking and stakeholder management. 4.Technical Skills : Then comes the technical skills. Knowledge on below topics would be helpful.
