👍 that’s what I’m going to do, I have mercedes someone hit my covered car in parking lot and left tire mark and cracked bumper after month looking for bumper I couldn’t find one in whole USA, I find nicer upgrade but doesn’t ship to Hawaii 🤪 So my only option is to fix it like you guys 👌🏼 or wait 3-6 months for new made bumper from Germany 🇩🇪 which they holding in customs and shipping is very expensive…

Hi guys, how would you fix a mercedes w208 bumper that has broken plastic near the small bolts (headlight section)….I think this is a common bumper issue on this model. Thank you in advance.

I can attest to using almost the identical method to heal the cracks in a 2002 MB ML55 AMG. Both the front and rear bumper. The fiberglass is very strong but unfortunately the old plastic is just too brittle and the bumper, even after 3 full structural rebuilds to the front bumper and two with the rear bumper (covers), the old plastic bumper covers just continue to crack and shatter. Mercedes plastics become brittle after years of exposure to sunlight, whereas other vehicle plastics remain flexible. I didnt want to spend $2000 to replace and repaint freakin plastic bumpers.... so I will sell the beast and let someone else deal with it.

Its because your bumper is an AMG and its made from different material than the regular benz plastic parts....thats what I know I plan on doing the same with a e55 bumper but maybe you didn't prep it right? did you sand before you lay the fiberglass?
