Yeah the best part is that the cards just kinda throw themselves at Farfa demanding to be played even when not opening the secret pack.
Every match we see makes it less and less likely that Farfa will return to his friends, family and kingdom.

The goat (Nordic Beast) is one of the two goats pulling the Nordic God of thunder Thor's wagon. It's when he out riding it thunders according to Viking religion. The wolf token could be a reference to the king of the gods Odin's two wolves that always are beside him while he sits at his throne; Gere and Freke.
Geri and freki? Is that a runick reference?
I know runicks are based on Nordic mythology, don't kill me
@@1gnis1337 I didn't mean it as a reference to another arctype. I just know that in the era of 5Ds there were a duelist team that used 3 of the nordic gods as their aces. Odin, Thor and Loke (Loki). When runick then came out they took more from Nordic methology. Like Hugin (one of Odin's two ravens that leaves his throne every morning and return at sundown to tell him what has happened in the world).

@@Dzeeff You also could've let your Solid Dragon die to battle with the Ritual Beast fusion and then burned him to death with DEEP-eyes. Would've been such an epic way to kill him
@@antto9218 Not to mention just acknowledging that even if he has a second one, you can banish that one too, and the third one, and then he's out of luck. That's better than just rolling over and taking all the damage
It's so incredibly satisfying to watch Farfa try to build Ritual Beasts AGAIN only for the Gustos to assassinate UltiCanahawk before it could get in a pack
It was meant to be. He tried to oppose it but we all know he should have been playing this instead of Ritual Beasts from the beginning. The power of not reading is at his peak with stuff like Gusto and Icejade.
I actually wanted to see Doug just let Ulti-gaiapelio destroy the solid dragon so that he could trigger Deep Eyes' "special summon & burn 800 for every dragon with different name in the graveyard" effect

Sadly, we didn't see Deep-Eyes be activated. It could've won Doug game 2 if he let Solid be destroyed(it would burn Farfa for game, which would be hilarious)
Good times in duel links with deep eyes surprise lethal, it was very funny. Specially since its an awful brick most of the times.
While dzeef didn't know farfa only had one copy of sphreez, I think he still should have made the fusion to banish it from the field so he couldn't shuffle it back or revive it game 1.
that would have only worked if he didn't negate sphreez's effect, once he negated its effect, he couldn't banish it anymore.
which is counter intuitive to how normal yugioh is played, usually you want to negate effects, but with twin burst when it comes to protection effects for battle... its much better to not negate that effect :p
@@Mattadork I agree 100%, however since this is sealed, the odds of him having more than 1 copy of sphreez was low so taking the chance to permanently take that resource out of rotation I think is more important than negating it's effect and possibly letting him return it to the extra so he can make it again or revive it. There was a non-zero chance that the following draw could be something to save farfa, so while dzeef had no way of knowing, he played it too safe. I believe MBT himself pointed out in a recent video that dzeef plays very safe so that he could have a play next turn in case he gets uno reversed.

I play a lot of Decks because playing bad decks is my passion.
Gusto is one im very fond of.
Ive played some of the variants.
Like.
Pure Gusto.
Witchroids gusto.
Harpies gusto.
Ritual beast gusto.
Ritual beast gusto isnt particularly very good, mostly because they barely have any synergy...
But it can be done.
ALWAYS prioritize the Lvl 3 Gulldo Bird in graveyard.
You need one there for the Lvl 3 Pilica.
Or any revival.
Its also the best bird since it doesnt care how its sent to the graveyard.
If they pop it with a raigeki, or stuff it will still float Unlike other gustos.
Sending the Falco from the deck is bad, send it for the effects of cards like tailwind, that can proc its effect.
I personally played The tricky and Quick draw synchron just because of that guy, for FUNNY plays
Anyways.
Im glad Gustos be gettin some love here.
They are an outdated deck that i love.

I will always watch Gusto gameplay. This deck is absolutely incredible and I want to build it now
If you want to try it then it best you stay in low ladder like gold/plat for you to have fun with this deck.
@@dantevic they can also try duel links. The low deck count lets you make the deck more consistent/see pilica more.

As one of the two Gusto players, I’m just happy our Deck is being acknowledged.
But yea Nadir you fucked up the combos so badly.
As a blue eyes player it did hurt when you didn't make twin burst to clear that annoying gusto, but I can't blame you for panicking against that, I suffered a lot while watching blue eye's strength used against it, but anyways a fun episode, keep it up Doug, hope you get the liking for blue eyes someday.
It hurts more that he couldve let solid die so deep eyes could be summoned and burn for game.
I am a Gusto player unironically. In the 2nd format ever in Master Duel, i got Platinum 3 with it. Yes, in Blue-Eyes/Rokket/Zoodiac format
Probably woulda been better to pivot into the fusion route with the poly, KOTS and Keeper

I played Gusto a little back in like... 2014, it's not a pet deck or anything just something I used to do.
The deck is kind of a interesting, it's one of the earlier infinite conga line decks, and they have an interesting wincon that's synergistic with that play style, but they've always took too long to get going to actually be any good

God, i remember thinking Gusto was the SHIT when i got back into Yu-Gi-Oh when the first version of Legacy of the Duelist came out for pc. Went from playing Earth Flip on the playground to GUSTO SWEEP online.
To get rid of some of the stinky packs, some weeks should have you pick the other person’s pack.

"Why did Farfa pull these random revive traps?" - Because the Sweep was destined to happen. Think about it: Since Farfa went for this deck first in Saga we were teased by random Gusto pulls every once in a while (in both series even, I think). But despite heavy demand the Gustos were denied multiple times...until today when the wheel had the opportunity to force this.

But Farfa could have also won 3 turns before that if he wasn't throwing. It doesn't make a difference to do a competition on who throws less.

These changes made the episodes so much better, because we wont see the lowest of the lows like we would in the past "season". With the new rules both players at least have a decent deck do play

As one of 2 Gusto players, I’m offended that Farfa missed lethal via OTK game 1. Had he picked up a vedir instead of the tailwind when he synchro summoned sphreez he could have crashed egul, summoned vedir, then crash everything for over 8k
Also we always dump a tuner to revive with Pilica, griffin is only good in the hand as it combos with tailwind to go +1

I feel like people complaining about Farfa and Gusto are this series' equivalent (well, Master Saga's carryover equivalent) of people complaining about Cimo playing Chaos in Prog.
These rules feels more deterministic than the previous seasons. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Roulette very much, but idk I feel like it takes away from the gamba. Still liked the episode, commenters don’t understand TH-cam series structure anyways.

but really was okey the farfa gameplay but could be better if used the effect of daigusto sphreez come back to the hand griffin use the equip to discard griffin to special summon the level 3 oh level 1 gusto and made more damage but really great games
Dang, I honestly felt really sad watching that game 2. Doug just drew so poorly for the majority of that game and just slowly died to Sphreez. And he lost the 66% chance to get the chaos dragon. Like, bleh, it was hard to watch that duel. Just felt annoying.
I’m not gonna fault Doug for losing this one. Gusto is a deck you don’t see a lot of and is very tricky to deal with because it generates so much advantage. Nearly everything gets value when it goes to grave and Sphreez is just annoying to out while being a massive pain in the butt for a lot of decks. I built a Gusto deck in the Over The Nexus 5D’s DS game and might have to look into building it on Master Duel as just a deck to have some fun with.
51:55 You threw the game by keeping your Blue Eyes monster alive. You had Deep Eyes in your hand. If Blue Eyes died, you could summon Deep Eyes and burn him for all his remaining LP, winning the duel.

I'm a gusto player! I exist! I played a hundred games of this deck and I still gas light myself "This surely is not the strongest board I could make with this hand". We suffer for our pet decks.
As someone who actually like Gusto and glad they got even any form of support Nadir did 4-0 Doug. So I see this as a big wind in my book. 😂
i wish i didnt know anything about Yu-Gi-Oh so I wouldnt see misplays and get upsets. Especiall because I am inherently looking at this with knowledge that neither plays has. This always creates the "oh my god why is this guy doing this movie" instead of oh I wonder what this person is doing. Its like being a passenger in a friends car and assuming they are gonna get you into an accident so you are constantly on edge and overly critical of there decisions.
I sometimes wish they would stop letting me see the pack openings and deck builds.

The Nordic beast token looks like the starving wolf from The Sword in the Stone disney movie from 1963.
That was certainly not maximum efficiency Gustos but it was very fun to see it go off!it only took multiple turns off doing nothing against a deck with really high attack monsters! I freakin love Gustos and hope they get more cards cause atm they have some really really great cards in tailwind and vadir but the rest is still utter trash lol
One day Doug and Farfa are gonna get into a fistfight, and Doug is gonna lose cause he's gonna slip on a copy of Sphreeze that's been sitting on the pavement since some Japanese tourist kid dropped it in 2011.
As an actual gusto player, its such an old deck that there aren't real decisions to make. Farfa has played the deck great every time, mostly because there's no real decisions to think about.

I remember when i wasnt actively playing yugioh and i was at a shop for a different game, i was chatting with a Gusto player and he was explaining the deck and i compared all his floating to yang zing and he got super angry.
Classic Farfa complain during pullls and deck build then pop off with the craziest plays and most insane draws you have ever seen
35:56 i play gustos but not really competitively mainly with buddies and i mean combos are possible especially with farfas turn one hand with a minimum 4600 dmg if doug went maiden into defense blue eyes
To be completely honest Master Roulette is much better than Master Saga , imo the show with both MBT and Farfa should be Master Roulette .
so what we've learnt from Master saga/roulette is that of the DT archetypes

I oddly play gusto's it's my for fun deck an it honestly does well, anything that uses high attacking monsters is an easy win
I had a friend of mine in college that ran a gusto side with a chaos deck so that game 2 he would just change his WHOLE game plan lol

Question: How does a 'fresh account" have 31K N tokens, 26K R tokens, 5K SR tokens and2K UR tokens?
"Fresh account" meaning Doug dusts everything after each episode/season. That way instead of having to make new accounts constantly for new seasons, he just cleans out this one.

I have entered multiple tournaments with gusto, mostly doing much more unfair things than the deck is supposed to
