Not one cop said let's find her insulin, just in case??? This is why people are labeling ALL cops as bad...too many sit around and let foul things happen. One of those guys could have at least said, hey, let's make sure she's ok. Not one did. Shame.

So far sir, from all the comments, you've made the best analysis and comment of the situation. 👍🏼
I must admit, at first, my thought was more like "at that moment, the girl was not suffering from her diabetes, she was anxious and hyperventilating, and the cop is having none of it.. he knows all those little tricks people try to pull on them when they try to get out of the situation..and pulling the "I have diabetes" card clearly seemed to him a way to avoid the consequences of her not respecting curfew"... and maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, but whatever it was, the officers HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO NEVER ENDANGER PEOPLE'S LIFE, even if the individual has committed a crime. Crime committed or not, the police officers have responsibilities and obligations: they have to follow and respect the law and procedures when taking someone in custody/arresting, they CANNOT ENDANGER people's lives, they have to do everything that's possible to protect the person's health and safety and they have to treat people with respect and protect their physical and psychological integrity, etc. And thats where everything and everyone are wrong and mislead: COPS HAVE OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. It is not true and normal to think that they can endanger people's life, they cannot put at risk people's health, they cannot deny them basic health and physical functions like breathing.

The girl had posted this on her tik tok when it was happening. She had said she was protesting and that she was going to her car to go home and it was about 20-10 minutes before the curfew in their state. While trying to get back home the video had shown her sister, her friend and herself going through the back of buildings because the police was already on the streets ready to arrest people minutes prior to the curfew. The girl had said they were hiding behind a house but then had to leave because they noticed that the girl who was diabetic was low on her blood sugar. The police were close by and a random stranger offered them a ride to not get arrested and leave faster. Unfortunately they could not get out in time and the police closed off the roads. The police yelled at the three of them and the strangers that offered the girls a ride and told them to get out of the car repeatedly and they did which is why you see the black car in the back with all the doors opened. The police told them to get on the floor and the girls were having panic attacks. Because they were taking their things she needed her insulin with her to know she was safe. One of the girls getting arrested had said she had ptsd and did not like to be touched on her wrist and while telling the officer not to touch her there and that she would get up on her own the officer refused. Her friend had passed out 4 different times because she couldn't breath and was having panic attacks and the officers had told her to just "CALM down". They were later processed and going home in a bus when one of them got kicked out because they were explaining to her that rioting and luttering were not going to do anything and she had said that why were they explaining that to her when they had not been doing that and were just simply protesting. She was walking alone in the dark at 11 pm and was then asked by police why she was wandering around and explained everything. She then got home. she explained that she is currently now okay and that was all she had shown and explained. This is what i have understood from the videos posted by her. Her tiktok @zestaz

Perhaps her dose is 25 units. But she decides to take 75 units in a suicidal effort. It's all in the same syringe. Nothing would look suspicious unless it was a professional double checking it and even then, perhaps 75 units is her normal dose. How is the officer to determine? Best practice/safest practice is to have set her aside for immediate evaluation/transport by a paramedic and I would think that would be in their plan.

These are hypothetical questions to which you already know the answer. You can peacefully assemble. You can do it most places at most times, but not any place at any time. This is not hard to understand unless you're actively trying not to understand it.

Suppose I want to peacefully assemble in my local downtown to protest something, and I choose to do my peaceful protest in the public right-of-way of the street in front of the hospital (which happens to block the ambulances from pulling in). Is that my constitutional right?

The PD in this country is nothing more than a guardian to serve the rich and harass the poor into either leaving or dying. Absolutely agreed in the theory that they execute the plans of the rich, the institution unfortunately does the bidding of the rich. There is q big debate in today's world - is it ethical to be a billionaire. That answer is that its unethical to be a billionaire- mainly because the path to reach a billion$ always comes at the expense of someone one or something and almost always employees example - Zuckerberg, Bezos etc. There should be a cap of how much wealth an individual can acquire. After 700 million, every single cent they earn should be taxed at a 100% rate. What are the even gonna do with 700 million dollars , let alone billions of dollars. Unfortunately we do not live in a fair capitalistic society, hence businesses should never be allowed to grow big enough to be "too big to fail" Billionaires shouldn't exist period.

Exactly! Well said. It’s rare to find a doctor who isn’t compassionate or is careless because it takes YEARS to become a doctor and that takes hard passion and dedication to help people in need. It’s really easy to become a police officer because there’s no “one way” to become one. For example; you HAVE to have a PHD and go to medical school before becoming a doctor... you just gotta have a random college degree and do some training to become a police officer 🤷🏻‍♀️

"My blood sugars dropping I need my insulin" actually if your blood sugar is dropping the last thing you need is insulin, considering insulin is what brings your blood sugar down. Speaking as a diabetic myself, it's incredibly irresponsible to make disingenuous claims relating to your illness. When a diabetic truly does need their insulin in a similar situation, your lies about "needing insulin because of *low* blood sugar" have decreased the chance that the diabetic will get access to their medication to be able to treat their high blood sugar. There are many things we need to do to rectify the police issue, but lying is not one of those things.

Some are mild, some obviously shouldn’t step out the house, it’s up to the individual, but withholding that puffer would stress that person even if she was having mild symptoms into having an attack that would only worsen.

This. Is. Not. How. Diabetes. Works.
She initially lies, because if she injects insulin while her blood sugar is low, she will go into a coma and die.
She then corrects herself and states she needs her insulin to correct her BG if it goes high again, which suggests she has already eaten glucose and/or carbs to correct a low.
If her BG goes higher than optimal and she doesn't have insulin available, she will become very thirsty and will need to pee frequently. Eventually, after several DAYS without insulin, she would develop ketoacidosis as toxic ketones begin to build up in her body.
Lack of access to glucose and carbs is an immediate life-threatening issue for diabetics, lack of access to insulin is a medium term issue which is extremely uncomfortable, but does not become life-threatening for at least a few days.
I guess if you ate handfuls of sugar and bread until you puked, you could induce ketoacidosis within a few hours, but I don't think that's how holding cells work, I can't recall ever seeing a dessert buffet.
She is in no danger, and is being a pathetic little drama queen as she waves her get-out-of-jail-free card, her world imploding as she realizes that card has been revoked and she's going to have to face the consequences of her actions.

If you have never had a panic attack, it is the worst thing to experience. It makes you feel like you're going to die. I've had many panic attacks and even thought people say you can "pull yourself out" of a panic attack it feels next to impossible.
I'm going to just describe what it feels like. The first thing that happens (to me anyway) is that everything becomes so loud and overwhelming. The second this is my throat feels like it has been sealed shut. It feels like you cant breath. Then you start hyperventilating because you feel like you can't breathe. After that I find it impossible to walk/move. My legs lock up and sometimes I will just completely fall to the floor. Then the crying starts which (to me) makes everything so much worse because now you can't see clearly. Some time while I am having a panic attack I just scream. A long almost primal scream. It gets so much energy out that has been built up. Everything feels like it is spiraling out of control when you have a panic attack.
The worst thing about a panic attack is that you are so overly aware that you are having one. I feel so weak and broken when ever I have one. I feel so pathetic because I know that I shouldn't get so upset but my body can't respond the way my brain wants to.
If someone has a panic attack you dont know what to do. Just ask. It might seem stupid. They might lash out and be aggressive. But after a while it will end. I know it feels like it will never end but it will. Trust me, everyone please stay safe out there. And have a plan incase someone does have a panic attack. Sorry for rambling.

She shouldn’t have been denied her insulin and also those people shouldn’t have been arrested to begin with they didn’t even break the law

For those of you wondering the current condition of the girl in need of her insulin (from what I heard and assuming); she’s fine, no need to worry about her.

Imagine if the cop would push a defenseless elderly man to the ground.
    Oh wait.
