Been learning so much from the both of you. As a Blender user both of you kinda remind of the FlipNormals guys. Thats a good thing. Two of them doing a tutorial helping out each other on the process. Considered a Patreon possibility at some point?
Hello Matrix-vc1kr, Thank you very much for the compliments we appreciate them so much, it makes our day. We have bin thinking of a Patreon and a lot more for the future. Thank you again and may have a productive day.
Nice tutorial. I have not yet needed to do step one in my work flow, as my pencils are dark enough read, and I turn down the opacity to make it light enough to see a difference between the pencils and inks anyway. I usually don't have a need to convert the line art to blue line do to this method. And since it's digital, and I can turn off/ hide the pencil layer when I'm done inking, it's a redundant step for me. On the off chance I want to convert to blue line, for instance if I wanted to print out pencils for traditional inking, I have a different method for that too. I'm not sure if either method is better one way or the other, uses less memory, or is faster. I click on the alpha lock checkerboard icon on the layer and use a large brush to paint over the line art. A swipe or two of the brush and the pencils are blue. I am curious to try out your method and see how I like it. Thanks for showing your method! Looking forward to more.
