To light……1.pump up the stove 2.turn fuel dial to on for 3secs and then turn off. 3.This fills the bowl with fuel. 4. Light the fuel and let burn for 1 minute. 5. Then turn fuel dial 1/4 turn to light stove. 6. Wait a few moments then open fuel dial all the way up.

Hey Steve. Those are nice. I just found a pretty good deal on eBay and I ordered it. 😃. I’m going to make a preheat cup for it. It comes with a wrench but not the case. That’s ok with me. Thanks for sharing

Wow! I found one of these on marketplace about a year ago with about a two hour drive to pick it up and I passed because of the drive.
I have kicked myself in the rear every since. Great score my friend.
Putting it out with the tip cleaner is probably a good thing. Not showing any signs of ware in the jet or on the needle.
Hope to see that old primus in a future video.
Thanks for sharing and God bless.

Nice stove. I have a couple of M1950's that can be real exciting to start and run. I came over from Bluegrass Bushcraft. Robert thinks a lot of you. Not too many of these stoves up my way in Canada. Thank you for showing us your new treasure. Stay safe and stay warm

@@shovelhead8 I am familiar with the 5121 I was just looking at one the other day on eBay and I never knew they had such a thing.... supercool that's one of the reasons I don't really collect propane lanterns is because of the fuel cell showing below, I like how your tank is concealed!!!!!

Strangely, they broke the date code into first half of the year A and second half B and then the year. These should literally last forever. All nickel, stainless and brass. Just about every one you see looks new. Some folks get in trouble with stoves that have a shutoff and a full stop cleaning needle. It's perfectly fine, despite myths to the contrary, to use the needle to regulate the burner. This is essentially a shiney chromed out version of the actual G.I. 520 which says right on the stove that the needle can be used to regulate the burner. However its a REALLY bad idea to use the needle to shut them off. If you were to shut the valve and the needle off, you then have expanding fuel with no place to go. Not good. The pressures can be enormous. That said, these little generator/vaporizers are heavy duty, and I've never heard of these having catastrophic failures. I have seen it on kerosene lanterns, with the thinner generator walls bursting. Probably not gonna happen, but I choose to not tempt fate in such matters. Let's just say it's not a good practice and FTFI. Haha! Glad you got your baby back. If you don't already have it, here is a link to the manual from Old Town Coleman. • @doinsngoins

I didn't notice one , but warming up the generator first is a good practice
