Moi was a man who only loved his job the presidency power and all that which comes with it. Moi was NOT a patriot a nationalist or statesman and to call him these names is the height of hypocrisy by some Kenyans and those who benefited from his 24 yrs of misrule. Moi don't even deserve a state burial.
Imagine we had a retired former president during the 2007/08 post election turmoil that nearly brought this country to its knees and it took Koffi Annan together with the former head of states of Tanzania Ghana and South Africa to broker peace when the country was burning yet Moi was just around never uttered a word and that is the Moi legacy he was part and parcel of the problem and could never have been the solution.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said that he or she who cannot take a stand in times of crisis and live with it whatever the circumstances do NOT deserve to live. Really Moi did not deserve to have lived in the first place.
I personally give Moi credit where it is due and I am giving him 60% credit for a smooth transition and handing over power peacefully to Kibaki in 2002 mainly bcoz Kibaki was a Moi loyalist having served as his VP for 12 yrs and was never a serious political opponent otherwise Moi could NOT have handed power to someone like RAO.

Late President Mzee Moi was a born big star that led Kenya to great heights of prosperity despite being denied aid by the Bretton woods institute IMF, World Bank, etc, and yet, by grace of Jehovah Elohim, he sent peace keeping Kenya Army Millitary troops to restore peace in the troubled European and African countries at their time of their greatest need. What a golden heart he had for suffering human race.

If my memory serves me right someone like Julius Shukuli should be ashamed of himself, he raped & he impregnated his cousin while in public office trying to advocate & sugarcoat what Moi did won't change the damages he did to the country, a good example was what he did to the late honourable Kenneth Matiba & Roberts Ouko and the likes of Koigi, he should have confessed on what he did be4 asking forgiveness. Moi was not a hero but a dictator of manipulated the system to oppress the poor & enrich himself & his cronies like the late Nicholas Biwot "total man".he left Kenya more worse than he had found it.

I don't know who this good man is but, the moderator did a messy job with the regulation of sensitivity towards aesthetic of discussion. Absolutely no sense of fluidity nor apparent charm.. which comes of a little tacky and very openly timid.
Let them finish a point then cordially compliment or charismatically animate your way into your follow-up expression. This though isn't even remotely close to what a controversially state motivated, significant, professional and iconoclastic face-off should be tailored. These surviving spawn of inescapable world's of absolute nemesis finally met up in a closed space to stand off on ALL that jive that went down ALL those years (borderline mythical)! Best thing anyone could do is let that energy HAPPEN! Let's witness the collision of two opposite worlds give birth to a brand new constellation!
Call me in next time.. I will GLADLY conduct the greatest dance ever known to man.. LOL!!!

It very sad some of your guests have a lot of anger. They should remember that it was the law then. It wasn't Mzee Moi.

Let them talk he did good some and he did bad too. And now we see vividly one guy is hungry for power from that side. But we salute his children there is no bad to talk about them. We hope his children will offer appology to the nation on behalf is nice thing and all unger will go that it means to have good children. We proud of them.
