True we all grew up feeling secure with our leaders. Chiefs were like presidents.

Lee Njiru, what a loyal and faithful employee and confidant. Deserves a presidential award! (also)reading between the lines, I don't know if I'm the only one thinking lee Njiru must have had some influence in some of the important decisions that Moi made while governing Kenya (since Moi had no first lady I tend to think every now and then Moi must have bounced some ideas off Lee Njiru to get a second opinion) so in that respect, Lee Njiru appears to have been more powerful than even some senior cabinet ministers!

I think Moi was a good person inside, have a man working for you for 42 years and still praise you, am not sure how many see our employers that way

Lee Njiru is as sharp as an encyclopedia, he deserves to be honored by the President.

This man, Lee Njiru, has the entire story of Moi and his leadership style for the 24 years he was in power.

My hat off to both Lee Njiru and Mutegi Njau. I have met both at different occasions in official business and I have nothing but respect and honor for them. Their individual sense of humor is awesome. My best wishes to both.

Jeff/JKL, you have to bring these gentlemen back. Their recollections of post independence Kenya are a must listen to all of us. Understanding their stories is part of understanding our history. Would also be great to have their take on the Kibaki and Uhuru era. Great show!!

Its like Lee Njiru took an oath to defend Moi in life and in death, and oh he's humorous too. When I become the President, I'd like a Lee Njiru type of a PA.
