I like the look of this mate but can you tell me is the spider hitch to stop the albright slipping or something? I use the albright all the time on it's own, doesn't the fact this knot is two knots potentially weaken the connection??? "KNOT" a criticism mate just a question! 👍
Hi Damian, it’s actually a much stronger knot. The doubled line of the spider hitch gives extra strength. Often the main line will break about the hitch before either of the knots go.

Can I use this knot when tying braid to fluoro
I use fluorocarbon leaders all the time to my braid mainline with this knot.
I might try the Albright to attach my leader to my braided loop on my fly line. Cheers mate, nice one. See you soon?
