"Hey guys! This is a beta test of OMORI from around 2015. You might recognize some elements from the 2014 and the early 2015 versions. I managed to scrounge this up while looking through some old hard drives. Just don't tell OMOCAT, would you? I'd rather my ass not be sued into oblivion. I think I'll be able to get a playable demo to you guys within the coming months if I can fully decrypt some of these files."

The "keyhole" scene was always a standout.
Can be understood why it was removed from the original game though.
Maybe they removed it because since the door there leads to Whitespace (Omori's place), the friends might just look into there and see omori stabbing himself or slmething

It feels good in it's own way honestly.
It feels handmade and heartwarming.
Another example of people wanting to recreate the original beta version of a game, taking all of the original details and concepts and bringing them to life (great example of this Half Life 2 Beta). I myself sometimes like to look at what initial concepts the games originally had and how cool it would be to recreate the successful ones that didn’t make it to release. And while I'm not a big fan of how Omori originally looked (the pink color of the window is too bright and the Omoriboy's design is too frilly), but the intro with the choice of character names is cool in the spirit of the Mother series! And if this mod comes out, it would be nice to at least try it out of respect for its creators.

The reason why the main group looks older is because this is the 2012-2015 cast, and Omori is 19 along with the others!

Actually, yes, they probably were older in the 2012-2015 cast, but in this au they remain aged down(Omori, aubrey, kel remain 12 and hero is 15)
I just found out in the neighbours room there's a tree with some rope in it. I realized what it meant and I screamed
There's also a pool of eyes that was featured in this game's 2014 trailer, which did not end up in the final game but were dropped off in the Subconscious Spill in Black Space.

I never knew Kels name wasn't actually kel and it was Kelsey?? Also never knew Heros name is actually Henry
I think the shop owner of the sandwich place mentions the Hero sandwich if you interact with him, which results in kel telling sunny that's where he got his nickname from, and that it was Henry before.
That start being inspired on Earthbound is really cool

There are so many cool details in this- naming the characters, the keyhole scene, the character portraits having emotion backgrounds, the first quest being different, the ost changes, etc.

the story is 60% story and 40% game pretty much, pretty sure the nameables go into the game side
@@lastlombaxx yeah, i've seen multiple "let's play" of omori and the guys playing give sunny absolubtely absurd names to sunny, it just end up ruining the dark and mature atmosphere of the game, it would be absolubtely horrible if se could name the friends
