    We moved and I had to disassemble my loom to do so. No space yet to put it back up, but I'm looking forward to it. Hearing that rhythm was like music.

    Is this the original Louet Spring or the Spring 2? Would you still recommend the original or is it way better to get the newer version?

      This is the original Louët Spring! I haven’t actually seen the version 2 in person, but I know they implemented a few improvements. I still love this loom and will be weaving on it more this year, I hope. It’s a beautifully designed and well built loom 💗

    Thank you Felicia for your videos! I really enjoy them.
    May I ask you if you can tell us your favourite weaving books, with patterns and so on? I have a teacher here in Spain, but would like to buy some books to get inspiration.
    TIA! 💗

      Absolutely! I can make a video about that because there are so many books to talk about ☺️

    How are you angling your thread before beating? It looks like you're just throwing it straight across but I know you're not by the look of your very nice selvedges.

      I should shoot a video about how I throw my shuttle. It’s been a work in progress and I should talk about it some more… thanks for the idea!

      @@sweetgeorgia I'd love to see a video of that. My weaving is slow because of my poor throwing technique. BTW I have your Craftsy spinning video; it's awesome.

    Where can buy this loom ? And does it work with silk ?

      @sweetgeorgia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NA-hs1xm absolutely, this loom works with silk. It is a Louet Spring loom. We can order them for you and ship anywhere ☺️

    YOU ARE SO FAST. How are you keeping your edges so clean?

    • @sweetgeorgia
      @sweetgeorgia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha! For me I found it’s a combination of things to look out for. I focus on my shuttle handling… I try to keep my shuttle close to the reed when I throw and catch. This should cause the weft yarn to tuck in at the edges nicely. But this also needs to work in combination with the warp tension being in the sweet spot. Too loose of warp tension and you might get a lot of draw-in. If you look at a fly shuttle loom, those will weave fast and without manually handling a shuttle… so the shuttle goes back and forth close to the reed as well. And then it’s practice throwing and catching the shuttle ☺️
