      Loved the video on pine trees. Would you demonstrate how to paint a forest of pine trees in mid ground and another in the background in the same painting? I don’t seem to get the colors right nor the foliage. Thanks!

    I don't know how you paint with such control holding onto only the tip of the brush,but it's amazing. I have several pictures of our Rocky Mountains, but never know where to begin. This video helps a lot. Thank you.

      Thanks Isabelle. With mountain scenes I think it’s easiest to think about the values first, so identify where all the shadows are in your painting and paint those first. Then work from the sky and furthest elements away in the painting and work systematically to the foreground.
      I have some other TH-cam videos on painting mountains which might help you, I’m pretty sure I made a play list. Also I have a full length video for sale on painting a mountain landscape which is available from my website if you’re interested:

    I'm doing my best to get back into my painting.I haven't painted for some time because of personal problems.However , i've got everything set up now And I'm enjoying the teachings of how to do a beautiful tree. I will take your advice in how to go about this because it's along the beach of my painting with big high rocks. But tree is at front and in between 2 rocks, but huge tree and the trees that come behind it. Of the big cliff of a rock and the scenery is all rock and trees and the ocean.So I like what I see.I won't make an attempt to paint but I don't know how to get that brush with the tip on it.I'd like to get one I think you call it a dagger brush

      Narayan Neralla I have just started digital painting with procreate and much of the process is still the same: start by drawing in your composition with some neutral tones. Then block in the major shapes, and values. Then begin adding more color and try working from dark to light. Let me know how it goes. :) Happy to help. Have an artful day. Cheers.

    I ll say something that everyone think but no one says. In this video and videos like this you cant actualt learn anything unless you pay. Everything what is inportant is cut off or speeded up so all we see is useless for our learning!

    • @SamuelEarpArtist
      @SamuelEarpArtist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, thank you for your feedback. This video was more intended as a quick tips video rather than a full painting demonstration. I can see your point but myself and other artists / content creators give a lot of information away for free. I myself make these TH-cam videos and I have a blog on my website full of painting tutorials which are all free. Many of us want to make a living doing what we love but we have obligations, I personally have a family to support. The ads revenue from TH-cam and Adsense is not anywhere near enough to live on and I personally would never rely on a social media platform for my income. This is why artists and content creators such as myself sell products such as full length in-depth painting videos from our websites. In my case the videos I sell are very reasonably priced as I try and keep the costs down. I wish I could make long full-length TH-cam videos that are two to three hours long but I gotta make a living. Selling paintings is not easy for most artists as people don’t have the money these days. I hope you can see it from my point of view, I always do my best to help people with their painting. Thanks again for your feedback. Cheers. Sam
