Due to UEFA restrictions, one club can't change the stadium during a phase of a competition, that's is because FC Barcelona can't return until March 2025
@@ezraezra2928they haven't qualified yet. No team has but I expect them to reach the top 8. I'm hoping that it'll be ready for the ro16 but I'm worried that if it isn't then UEFA won't allow a change for the quarters
The criticism from El Periodico and several attacks suffered by the club started, what a coincidence, just when the club take the Limak's offer and disregards the big and powerful Spanish construction companies. Besides that, I believe that March/April would be a more realistic guess.
Apparently they only signed a contract for the Olympic stadium until the end of this season which is probably why they're trying to rush the works so they can move back in ASAP
I think there's a news regarding San Siro's fate for the 2027 Champions League Final. UEFA said they removed it as a host for some reason, possibly about renovation issues. The new host will be announced the next year. Only 2 bids were confirmed: Madrid and Baku.
Can someone please explain to me why we didn’t simply demolish the old stadium and rebuild from scratch? We ‘essentially’ demolished it - why not go all the way and build something from the ground up?
Several reasons. Bigger cost, more construction time and most importantly, not needed. The 1st and 2nd stands were of very good quality and just needed maintenance and some reconditioning to nowadays standards. The 3rd stand was of bad quality, built later for the 82 World Cup and had to be demolished anyway. Moreover, the facade of the original project (1st and 2nd stands) is considered a patrimony of the city and would have needed lots of permits to be demolished
for the costs as is logical. How the work is being done allows us to expand capacity. The structure of the stadium is correct, it does not need to be demolished.
Football will return in a few months with only the original structure (65,000 spectators) WHILE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES UNTIL MID-2026. th-cam.com/video/hjZkErBSccQ/w-d-xo.html
It's pretty evident from the state of the project that no matches will be played until at least March / April.next year. That's not a criticism; this redevelopment project is massive and very complex.. they've done well to get to this stage already. There will be an almighty political squabble as to which stadium takes the honour of hosting the wc final match: I would expect the Bernabeu to get it, but you never know.
No te equivoques amigo, tener videomarcador 360 y techo retráctil o césped retráctil no son los únicos requisitos que hacen de un estadio el mejor del mundo.\ \ Hay cosas buenas que tienen otros estadios y que el Bernabé no tiene.
working 24 hours at a time? this is absolutely false and you should be embarrassed on not knowing to read. @01RAMONATOR I know, but the new Camp Nou looks like the San Mames and Bayern stadium had a baby. It's nice, but it lost its uniqueness and somehow looks less iconic. The New Bernabeau preserved the old Bernabeau's uniqueness better. Idk how, but the Bernabeau looks bigger too even though it's not.
Is Camp Nou the perfect place to play the 2030 World Cup final?
It is, but the Spanish government will probably give it to the bernabeu.
@@Inmyownleague that's unfair. camp nou much more deserves to be host in the world cup final

Not a chance, you're just dreaming! the final will be at the grand stadium in Casablanca 😉
This is better than Wembley imo
You would hope so - Wembley is 20 years old

So Barcelona can only use this stadium during the quarterfinals, right?

Do you think he will play when he turns 50?
Nah it’ll happen in 2026 before the World Cup so he’ll be 38 not 50. Use ur common sense
