Actually it depends on taste and tradition.
Still the best rice for Hydrabadi Biryani and Bombay Biryani and North Indian Pulao is 1121 steamed rice no one can match that aroma and taste, you need to soak rice in water for 1 hour before cooking.
Some cities in south i found they are using mansoori rice for biryani but is doesn't taste well.

घर पर निकाले गए चावल के फटने और चिपचिपे होने का क्या कारण होता है ? इसमें सुधार कैसे कर सकते हैं ।
चिपचिपा पन धान कि वैरायटी पर निर्भर करता है मगर कोई भी चावल पटना नहीं चाहिए। आप धान को अच्छे से सुखाने के बाद ही चावल निकालें और चावल को निकालने के बाद प्लास्टिक के बोरे हवादार जगह में रखें ताकि सीड़न ( मॉयशचर) ना लगे।
धान पुराना होने पर चिपचिपा पन स्वतः ही कम हो जाता है। तो धान को 6 माह पुराना कर के ही चावल निकालें।
