+Marius Urucu I found about this game while playing a demo on Onlive. Other than that, I didn't knew it even existed. What I like about this game is that it blends elements from other games that I really like (Prince of Persia, Devil May Cry and some Legend of Zelda thrown into the mix). I have played the original Darksiders too after the second one and while it was a really good game, I think the sequel trumps it on almost everything. I genuinely think this game deserve the same praise as say the Witcher 3, Fallout 4 or other open world sandboxes get (which I find these games kind of dull, to be honest). I hope Nordic Games will make Darksiders 3 see the light of day.
@@bryantmanson4097 I enjoyed it for what it is, enough so to platinum it. The gameplay was really fun, I grew to like Fury, enemies were varied and challenging, the design of the world and levels (apart from that fucking tornado) was great and the overall steeper diffuculty suits the feel of the series very well imho. That's where the positives ends though - not many good boss fights with the optional ones being just rehashed mobs, it's fairly short and where 2 uped and improved almost everything, what really was the reason to be only on earth again, no horse and the souls mechanics nobody asked for (and I'm pretty sure nobody wanted)? The worst offender is the story though, I got used to the rest, I would even handle the fact it was much shorter than the second game, but what the fuck was that "story"?! You can pretty much sum it up in one sentence... Yeah and the DLCs suck. Fairly sure there was a lot of "OH SHIT! OH SHIT! NO WAY! NO FUCKING WAY!" said somewhere along the duration of that frenzy. STFU Darksiders 2 (more commonly known now as Darksiders II The Deathinitive Edition) is a perfect masterpiece. The story is a true epic forged by the almighty gods known as Vigil Games. best first bosses in games the Twilight Thorn in Kingdom Hearts 2 Fortitudo from Bayonetta Ray in Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and "War" in Darksiders 2

You know typically sequels for a game turn out sub par in my opinion because the creators continue with the style of game, story, etc. but don't do much of anything that makes it stand out. Darksiders 2 I deeply loved because it took darksiders the original and brought it to another level which was fantastic. Everything from scenery, boss fights, cut scenes, and soundtracks "guardian theme ftw" was perfect, again imo.
Seems like they want each game to follow a genre. DS1 was your classic hack-n-slash with some Zelda-esque puzzles, but tanky character like Kratos, DS2 went full-on RPG with stats and skilltrees, and DS3 went Dark Souls with some Bayonetta-like combat, and Genesis is Diablo but better xD I feel like more franchises need to experiment with styles each iteration, makes it harder to compare the entries as they will be different.
