    The best part of this bag review video was the last 3 minutes that had nothing to do with the bag. Always appreciate your vulnerability. Sending you a big hug wrapped in an Eddie Murphy 'Raw' material. Thanks for being you.

    Chase, I was just going to post in comment, after watching one of your previous videos: "You are the secret formula, the perfect mix of humor, coolness, class, quality of information, sense of detail, and entertainment.
    A future classic."
    I almost forgot the sensitivity and profound humanity, which I'm reminded of here.
    Best thoughts.

    Long time viewer, first time commenter. I already have more bags than I need but your philosophy and openness are inspiring and keep me coming back. My wife used to say "are you watching bag guy again?" until she saw one of your deep outros on meditation and then totally she got it and loves your work. Thanks for adding some joy into folks lives man. Sending you and your family positive vibes.

    Chaser, you were made very special!
    I miss the old days when you sang some pretty epic in-the-moment songs in the Barb one evening…
    I saw you play a banjo on the hill house and when I said ‘you’re real good Bro’, you said “oh this thing? I saw it and sought to play it, yeh never played a banjo before now”
    Huh? This guys incredibly blessed I thought to myself.
    So years later, I remember that now?
    Well I found an old burned cd labeled chase reeves…
    A strummer, a singer, a whistler- an overcomer!
    I can’t explain how properly- but I am blessed to tell you that He is still standing in the doorway singing in harmony with you, To YOU
    “Don’t you go and give on me now”.
    HE misses that duo- that partnership.
    Thank you for that witnessing song Chase. It gave me strength to live. I know now. I was lead to let you know… again.
    “No thing is wasted,
    only misunderstood, until the process is completed.
    Trials are most often a pop quiz. Some of your songs are prophetic for today. Every day is called today, so let no shame come with your return.”
    HE never left you! HE wept with you. And HE is still singing to you and yours.
    My stomach aches with you as my heart sings joyously- that’s the unexplainablness of directed prayer to The Most High🙏🏾 HE heals, and Will surely redeem the time.
    Thank you warmly and deeply!
    Sincerely,
    a rando whom had a very blessed evening one time with some kind strangers once upon a time

    At first I thought, “Wait, they made a CPL35?!”
    I love my CTB35 as it holds more than it looks while maintaining independent volume in all of its pockets. It’s voodoo. You said it best when you called it a worthy companion. It just does its job so well.
    Sending love to your family. You are the poet of the pack, world, and I hope your family gets through this to be stronger on the other side. Thanks for all you do.

    Hey Chase, thank you for your vulnerability and your perspective. I watched many of your videos while thinking of which bag to get. I wound up getting the CTB 35 without your review. Now that you have reviewed it, I am even happier with my decision. This bag has been my trusty companion on many adventures. As a kid and an adult I would look at fancy bags and think “one day I’m going to have a nice bag.” My search is over. I no longer have bag envy. I also have a bag I can rely on when things get tough. Good luck with your adversity, my friend.

    I watch your videos with keen interest as you expertly blend humanity with the stuff you review. This episode was gripping, especially the last few minutes. You spoke of the magnetic effect of tragedies and how they shape your thinking and bring about clarity to what's important- it was spot on. I hope you and your family have been able to get through the tragedy and it was magical the way you ended the video- You brought perspective. I wish you the very best and here's to many more superb reviews and thoughts on life.

    Just bought this pack and got it two days ago. I absolutely love the ease of use and spaciousness of it. I travel 30 miles to work three days a week with around 25-30lbs of tech and stuff to get me through the day, I was using the Civic Half Zip 26L but I’ve since retired that for other uses. This 35L is gonna be killer for my work.
    Also, sorry for your loss and I appreciate your words towards the end. Stay strong man.

    I have this bag! Its amazing, i like it much more than my Aer travel bag. The only way i would say this CTB35 can be improved is to have all pouch pockets inside to be made of the same waterbottle stretch material. That stuff is so good it would make the bag much more usable to actually hold down items

    • @thegixlad27
      @thegixlad27 ปีที่แล้ว

      How would the water escape though? there's a reason why Evergoods didn't go down that route

    • @thenestpodcast
      @thenestpodcast ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you like about this one that puts it ahead of your Aer Travel Bag?

    • @mytrung
      @mytrung ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thenestpodcast the ctb35 has three outside pockets. The two bigger ones near the top and can hold my entire dopp kit on the outside of the bag which helps free the inside space, big plus for me. As far as aers front loading organization, I can do without all the little slots. I place my smaller items in the top or front pockets no problem. Another big win is the water bottle pockets. It can house my travelers notebook for quick access on one side and my waterbottle feels crazy secure in the other side. I often travel with two laptops for different jobs so have the laptop sleeve with a divider let’s me carry two no problem as well. Overall it works well for me but the aer is a great backpack still.

    • @mytrung
      @mytrung ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thegixlad27 What are you putting in the small tech pockets that require water to escape? I don't mind the bigger mesh in the main compartment, I mostly meant the tiny pockets within the zipper compartments. My assumption is the fabric dye necessary to make it match the gray inside would be an extra set of steps versus just using the interior lining.

    Liter measurements leave something to be desired in the bag industry! They're very random. I have a Cotopaxi Alpa 35 and I also have an Aer Travel Pack 3 35L... The Alpa, for some reason, seems to have significantly more room than the Aer. The Aer is a more comfy bag to carry, and I prefer the opening vs the Alpa clamshell, but it's just to tight for 5 days. In your opinion, where does this CTB35 fit in, compared to those two bags, as far as volume? I know you've reviewed both of those other bags and I respect your opinion. I recently bought the Evergoods PLC 20 for an under seat bag (two bag travel), and I love the design and quality of Evergoods, but I don't want to spend $300+ for something that would just be a dupe of the Aer 35. Thanks!

    I recently traveled to Germany for a week and took a carry on wheel luggage thing and a CPL24 that I used for all my day to day stuff. This worked really well except I was busting at the seams in the CPL24 when I went home because I squired some items etc during the trip.
    I’m wondering if a CPL28 would bridge the gap and give me the same experience or if a bag like this would be better… or too big. I primarily use the CPL for a laptop and gear bag while I’m there and the wheelie luggage for clothes generally.
    Does anybody have a CPL28 or this bag and can offer opinions on if one of those would be a better for than the 24 on a trip like this? I’m not running around town with the bag and generally just to and from offices etc..

    • @Adrian-so3vi
      @Adrian-so3vi ปีที่แล้ว

      I have both the 24 and 28. I prefer the 28 for work. I can fit everything I need in it. Lunch, an umbrella, water bottle, laptop and iPad. Light sweater. I use the 24 if I’m just going to a coffee shop or something around town.

    • @Images_of_threat

      Sounds like you might wanna try the CTB 26 also known as the Phoenix ll. It is exactly like this bag but the build material is vx-42 TOTALLY rain proof. The inside is orange instead of grey, and in the top of the main compartment there is a (molle) nest made out of Laser cut hypalon (like on the zipper pull tabs) that the Evergoods Cap1 pouch fits perfectly, or other things, and you can attach stuff to it all right there just inside at the top of the bag… the CTB 26 can pack out BIG or look pretty slim. Its a great second bag for travel if you have to use 2 bags.

      I definitely prefer GORUCK straps but when you use the hip belt you can shift the majority of the weight off your shoulders. I’m starting to grab the CTB35 over my GR2 34L for travel which I never thought I would do.
