    I watch dozens of bag reviews and I can’t believe it took me this long to stumble upon your channel. You’re way more relatable. Keep up the good work.

    Had the CTB 35… loved the bag for the most part, great one bag travel set up for a 4-5 day trip.
    My biggest issue and why I sold it was the straps are anemic and not comfortable and when fully loaded it digs into your shoulders.

    Great review man. Just couldn't help noticing you put the bag upside down on your roller luggage. Part of the beauty of the CTB26 is how some of the pockets are made to be perfectly accessible when on a rolloaboard. The vertical front pocket, the laptop compartment, and one of the internal pockets. It's one of my favorite design elements, so I had to emphasize it. Keep it up man! Can't wait to see what other stuff you have coming now that you focus more on what you enjoy. We also share a love for Greenroom stuff.

    Totally agree on the straps bro. The CTB26 is t absolute favorite bag design. I just wish the straps were a bit bigger and beefier. Something more like Goruck, A19, or Mystery Ranch Futura. The waxed canvas griffin series is a big stiffer and FEELS like it has more padding because of the denser fabric so I’ve been rocking the CPL since it came out. The Griffin 2 CTB should be here by end of year. That might be the end game for me.

    Appreciate your review and thoughts on this bag. I bought one recently and it's been really great as my personal item during travel and for EDC. It really ticks all the boxes. I'm kind of mixed on the handles. I've heard a lot of criticism on the handles and I definitely get it. I don't find myself using them enough for them to both me that much, but I really like how sleek they make the bag.

    Almost seems like a better version of the Greenroom136 Northseeker. Of course, the Northseeker can be customized and the 26CTB can't, but the base model/uncustomized Nothseeker loses out to the 26 CTB. Once customized it can easily be your perfect bag, and the customized price + bookholder laptop pouch brings the VX42 edition into a similar price range as this. Really like this EG bag tho.

    I cut the laptop separator out to make one large compartment and it works better for me. Also took the hard plastic sheet out and it's much more comfortable

    • @mistsrider
      @mistsrider 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I could never do that. The 4-way all directions suspended laptop protection is the best, nothing like it on the market. Even the Tom Bihn cache and other similar solutions is foam impact protection only.

      @@mistsrider right, I get it. However, I never carry a laptop with a travel backpack. It was wasted space for me.

      Did you cut out the panel that separates the main compartment from the laptop compartment or the separator within the laptop compartment?

    • @tjharlow
      @tjharlow 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheseUncertainTimes the entire separator between main and laptop compartment. Now it's one single cavity. So much more space. I don't carry a laptop with a travel bag. Now the laptop zipper just gives ready access to the back of the main compartment but I don't really use that zipper at all

      @@tjharlow Might consider doing this. Does it make the bag super floppy or negatively impact the way it carries?

    300 and made in Vietnam. I’m not nocking Vietnam but it’s too damn much. Really appreciate you George. Make videos about whatever makes happy. Glad you introduced me to Kargo Gear. They don’t charge 300 for any bag and it’s made in the USA. I’m trying to collect all their bags.

    • @sologhostrider
      @sologhostrider 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

      I think your negative bias towards Vietnam made bags is unfounded. Yes, I agree that $300 is a hefty amount for a bag. I own many bags and GoRuck makes bags in Vietnam and USA. Lately the made in Vietnam bags are equal or even better in quality that the USA made ones, based on the bags I actually own. I also own 2 version of this bag and it’s by far my favorite bag and one of my best.

      @@mr_red13the same here.
      For one bag travel I want a bigger bag.
      For my personal item none of the bags suit because they are too big for 90% of airlines.
      Like which airline allows you to have a roller bag and this one on top? I see people do it but would prefer gate people have them check it so I don't have to check my 1 bag given they are way oversize.
      The cpl16 fits the personal item size with a very small height issue that should not be an issue when fitting in the sizer.
      1 water bottle pocket would make it perfect given how small it is.
