Utah will get a good introduction to the Big 12 with their 1st game in Stillwater. Okie State's fans are extremely close to the opposing bench and usually have something they bang on the wall with & it can take some getting used to, not to mention OSU has a pretty good HC. As far as my Red Raiders go, I have no idea what to expect after falling apart last season.

8-5 with no starting QB, no preseason All-American tight end, 8 starters out for the season with injuries by November, playing multiple games with 3rd 4th or 5th string QBs and all that against a top 10 schedule in terms of difficulty. All their regular season losses were against top 11 teams except Oregon State who was still ranked most of the year. How do you think they’ll do against the 6th easiest schedule in the country with both Rising and Kuithe coming back?

Saying that a team with a lot of returning starters PLUS it’s two most important players is going perform better against a bottom 10 schedule vs how they performed against a top 10 schedule last year without those two players is truly not a hot take at all. We saw what they were capable of in 21 and 22 with Rising healthy, if he stays healthy this year the odds are very high they will win more than 8 games. I’m not the only person saying this, listen to what Klatt says about Utah this upcoming season and why he has them penned as a top 10 team. Also I didn’t say a thing about “why they lost this or that game” I have no idea where u got that from I just stated who they lost against, and they lost those games because their offense was far inferior to their opponents. They still had a top 15 defense.

      Ohio State
      Michigan
      Alabama (old)
      LSU
      Georgia
Would have an easy time with these schedules. Rest of the SEC OR BIG 10 nah. Being they don’t ever dominate big 12 schools themselves and frequently get beat. Only reason those conferences are any good is cause the top 2/3 routinely dominant schools ass rapes the rest of em

    • @thewvuguy

A big 12 runner-up beat the undefeated big 10 champs in the playoffs. SEC is horribly overrated. You have maybe 3 or 4 actually good teams every year. 1 or 2 elite teams. The rest are meh at best, Vandy at worst. That's why big 12 teams consistently win in bowl games against SEC teams. Outside of the top 2 or 3 teams in the Big 10 and SEC, they are weak conferences. Big 12 may not have the Alabama or Ohio State types who are in title contention every year, but pretty much every team is solid. If you want to talk about G5 schedules, look at SEC out of conference schedules. You have so many teams above .500 because half your schedule is cupcakes. And please tell me the 7 SEC teams that would go under in the big 12. Alabama and Georgia sure, but who else?😂

Then tap on 4… let me say that again… FOUR cupcake OC games. Maybe you get a reasonable P5 opponent but it’s still no less than 3 guaranteed wins and a likely 4th. Everywhere else? Maybe you get 1-2 guaranteed OC cause they actually play more conference games. You only need 6 games for bowl contention and the entire SEC only needs 2 conference wins to get there which is cake.
