I but it'd be easy to paint a marine made of white royal icing. If you use vodka instead of water with your food colouring paint it'll dry duper quick too

Thank you for the tip! I will re-visit this project in the future and try to paint them again. I think I need other paints now because my food coloring is oil based and wouldn't mix with wodka.

You should melt chocolate properly, in low heat or bain marie, then pour it in. Also it's the proper way so you can mix colorant together
