Hey hey hi HI HEY HAY so I finished my wall :) I think it turned out pretty cool but only time will tell if it's a good point of defense! I added a couple of neat features to my wall behind the scenes and figured I would show off the finished product as part of this video! However...I got kind of tired of using my big truck to get around everywhere so in this episode I decided to build a light electric vehicle that can help me explore the whole map with minimal fuel/charge consumption! I hope you guys enjoyed this episode and I'll see you in the next one! :)

it may break in one hit but your wall looks awesome this way, better than tier3 metal.
Put a single line of T3 metal on the outside 3 blocks up from the ground. The normal bots won't attack it and just kinda stand there, though they could possibly still attack and hit the metal behind it, but that should keep them from getting in even if they do. The wall looks SO COOL the way you have it, I think you should keep it.
@@c_death T2 metal is already enough to hold back the normal 2 bots (tote and hay), tape just shoots from distance :P
Here some suggestions from me,
1. You can add some rotating light in the gate, so that the light look like a hazard light, and maybe you can add some totes block to make warning sound too.
2. For stability, just maybe, you can add 1 more wheel in the back of your ATV, that should look like a spare wheel.
3. Rather than using tier 1 metal, upgrade the metal first to tier 3 metal, which possibly Indestructible for tote block robot, farm bot, and tape bot too.

Also - when using electric engines, make sure that your wheel base is as narrow as possible. The wheels behave like they have a welded differential. You can add guide wheels which are unpowered to widen the base. And can use just a single row of propulsion wheels. Alternatively you can double stack or triple stack your rear wheel beaerings to attach two controllers which increase speed on one side and decreases speed on the other when turning. That should significantly increase your control.

I think that instead of using a controller for the red light you can use a nand/nor gate to get the red light working 😀

Make the gate have a toggle-able proxi,ity sensor so that when you drive up to it, it automatically opens
Headlights turned all the way up kick out a lot of light, 4 or 5 should light up a decent sized area for nighttime building.

Don't rush anything! We don't care how late it comes, we only care about the content and i always love. The builds! Its so good. I cant explain the perfection!
love you vid as always, dont rush it, do your own content because that's what great about your channel, you dont follow others, you play your own way.
As for suggestions, you can try small scale farming, that is up to 9 tomato/turnip/carrot, 6 potato, 4 orange/banana/blueberry or 3 pineapple/broccoli. For up to these quantities you dont get raids so you can safely get the spudgun or farm up spuds to defend when you decide to go bigger.
I also recommend you building a simple sawmill (for example long hollow shaft, some pistons and saws) to get wood much faster (and with huge satisfaction ;) ) or a mining vehicle for stone. Having water and chemical pumps into containers is very usefull aswell, lessens the grind. If you already didnt you should swap to "test" branch of the game, in properties on steam, it gives you access to (currently) option to get more glue and oil, cheaper wood lvl1 and concrete more relying on chems and water than stone, which generally reduces the grind a lot.

He could have used a timer. He could have used a distance sensor on one door to detect the other. He could have used two distance sensors on the wall to detect each door... Instead he did it the most difficult way possible by slowly rotating a controller in sync with the door in front of a distance sensor! :D

hey Kosmo i think the ATV would work better if you added some weight in the front. Concrete 3 is 1 below max weight that would probably help a bit. Also you can fit a bed behind the seat and still access the chest
yo good call about the bed dude! I definitely should put one on there. I'll try more weight too, I was just trying to keep the weight down to save battery life :)

Kosmo that wall and gate looks amazing!! I really like ATV too but can you use your trailer again? I really loved that you made a trailer and I know it has problems in Scrap Mechanic but if you can make it like a horse wagon, trailer should be more stable and not force your vehicles to do wheelies.

12:54 you should use the smaller tires, a smaller tire is actually better for off-road because is "gears your down" compared to the land giving you better manuverability in rough terrain, and I think it would look better
You need to make a tutorial for this suspension technique

I'd try running front-wheel drive instead brakes might be killer but I think turning would be greatly improved.

Dont worry about tier 3 metal. concrete 2 is enough. My base is built out of it, and they dont attack it.
Explosives can still break it, but unless you kill a boss right on the wall it doesn’t matter.
Please don't belittle your creations because you lack the experience of the Multiplayer Monday gang. I loved watching you grow through the noob vs pro series. You started considerably worse than my abilities then surpassed me under Kan's guidance. You clearly love your builds and I share your videos with the relatively inexperienced players in my survival world as inspirational material.

That saw underneath the car is the best solution man! I have that to my exploration vehicle as well for the same reason and it works like a charm! You can also try to fit a bed under the vehicle if you can replace somw of your blocks with it. Awesome build!

Electric motors dont have diferencial mechanism. This is the reason why you have problems with steering. Swich to level 5 gas engine. It is taking crazy low amount of fuel.
Really like the design of the new ride.
If you plan on sticking with electric, I would suggest you tack on a battery storage unit.

@@darealkosmo I understand the storage idea, though, the container can hook up directly to the engine - like a fuel tank.
I like the chest idea (aesthetically) but also if I remember correctly the chest actually has a better weight to storage capacity, the only downside is self-filling the engine.
Maybe try front wheel drive to get rid of the wheelies and help the steering out, only issue is that the torque means when you stop you're probably going to flip unless you add more weight to the back

I really need to play around with electric motors more. They seem to be a good replace for fuel engines in some cases.
They have more torque but less speed. They're better for drills, saws, and large vehicles.
@@isaachess9356 good point, but in my survival world I just use false engines. They’re less expensive.

This wont help much... The problem is in the nature of the electic engine. Every four wheel vehicle has differentials to help it turn easier, but the electric engine acts as if there is no differential.

As far as handling is concerned, I've found that front-wheel drive has slightly better handling and rear-wheel. Either way, sick grill my dude!
The wall may look good but itll only take two hits from a farm bot to get through and destroy the inside i recommend making a straight wall thats horizontal and out of the blocks it will take much longer for them to get through.

Yep I talked about this in the video :) That's why I have a frame for the wall so when the shack pieces get broken I just replace with metal or concrete

I thought you were going to do an electric conversion on your original car. But, I like the independent suspension. I've been testing out various types in my creative world. Built a super heavy sprinter that can take jumps with 3000 stone on it.
Hey great car but I think that it is too lite and so when you are at full speed your wheels go up a little and so you lose some speed. I mean you need more grip to the ground but beautiful car tho
You totaly need a rollbar on that car, like a mini dunebuggy :D
If you didn't know, if you only hook up the engine to the front wheels, it can be on full power, without your car making wheelies.
That doesn't work unfortunately, more so with electric motors. The braking curve is too sudden so your vehicle will just flip forward whenever you stop.
@@darealkosmo That's the bad thing on that idea. Another Idea: Dubble bearings, one of them is hocked up to an electric motor, wich is accually used, but the other bearing is hocked up to an gas engine, wich doesn't rotate at all. It's just for "softening" the instant aceleration from the electric motor, that the car doesn't make wheelies all the time.

I think if you do double bearing for each wheel, in theory, it should help stop the issue of it doing a front wheel stand or even front flip everytime you let go of W.
it might help with accelerating "issue" too ;) it will spin in place without propelling, the pipe piece would be only thing moving

Thanks for the tip! It made turning easier but it had a lot less traction in the back and in the end made it more difficult to control.

Also the rear uses another kind of tank suspension

The ATV is GREAT
I like the look of your wall. Only sad thing it is glass wall. Tier3 metal is not worth in big wall. Go for the tier3 concrete mate.
Noted! And yeah my wall is easy to break right now but we'll fix that with time :)
T2 concrete is also indestructible to the bots though, only explosives and bosses break it.

Add a bearing in the red circle, on both sides of the vehicle.
Personally I would set the gate with a timer to close after 30 seconds. Kan could probably help you with that.

U can make censor door by just simply placing the sensor block in middle of road but u do need ot connect it to the door

There's also a game called NASCAR heat 4 and there's a 3. You get the idea from NASCAR heat to four. That's also a game I personally think would be a cool game to play. Not sure what you think but I think it would be nice
Lao one thing you can do is put a leaf spring kinda thing in the middle of the back axel for extra support on bumps. And the satisfying suspension bend
