Apparently, Banjo-Kazooie has it’s own engine
BK is a different game with different mechanics. They simple took the assets of the game and converted them to M64.
@Aquatic Sparrow Kaze specifically said they ported the Banjo Kazooie “engine” to Mario 64, not just the levels & assets.
There are two imported things that have been ported from BK to SM64. It's the GFX engine F3DEX which can parse now the levels from BK in it's binary format.
Also the water have been ported, Kaze got rid off those SM64 water boxes.
Going from months to a week is actually an insane upgrade.
Next up, porting the Conker's bad fur day engine in SM64

I have high expectations on Gruntilda being trowable like Bowser! Also I hope there will be other moves like your other fantabulous masterpieces of sm64 hacks, like Last Impact or 64 Land
He will probably pull the same thing he did with Ocarina and have Bowser have Grunty's role like he did with Ganon.

Kaze, im gonna be blunt here. This looks amazing, the custom shit looks so authentic to an original n64 title instead of some janky hack. Of course a lot of the models already exist to reference so that may be it, but still nonetheless this looks really good.
Avengers is the most ambitious crossover to exist!

I actually had this exact same idea years ago but had none of the skills to pull it off. I think this is awesome and great and is amazing. Would love to see this all the way through. A complete mod conversion. Love it.
Man, I remember seeing footage of this level being ported over with a level importer as such an impressive feat years ago (without any actual objects and whatnot) and it's great seeing you work on this crossover now. :-)

I was literally about to ask you about the progress, cuz I know UED (also German) and Trenavix (with help of you and some others) had already been working on such SM64 X Banjo Kazooie. Despite dozens of encouraging comments, neither of them have finished it (yet). I'm so glad there's finally a sign of life again for this project.😃👍
Banjo kazooie is my favorite game I am a huge fan of Banjo Kazooie and I enjoyed playing Banjo Kazooie

Btw, I might have a crazy idea to be under Nintendo's radar.
What if you made a 'replacement' character and some sprites, so that your romhacks don't show Nintendo property on video, and when you release the hack, you can use a patch file to get Mario and the intended sprites to be back.
At that point, they could just use the placeholders and call it a new game.

I cried tears of joy when I saw this! I've literally been dreaming about this crossover since I was a kid, along with Mario in Ocarina of Time and Banjo-Kazooie in Ocarina of Time (Kurko). Seeing them all become reality makes me so emotional, it's like a dream come true! I'm looking forward to play this so so much!

As a huge fan of Banjo Kazooie (And the fact that I grew up with it) I definitely approve of this hack, I would probably change the icon on the shock spring pad to Paper Mario's boot as the shock spring pad shows a picture of Kazooie's foot.

Imagine a mod for 2 players coop, one playing as Mario and the other as Banjo and Kazooie. Each one with the skills from their own games, joining forces against the evil plans of Bowser and Gruntilda which teamed up to destroy the two heroes. Ok... I'm dreaming hard here
