Having Ui mama gush about real high school girls is plenty interesting on its own so don't worry. You have my thanks :D Plus the giggles soothed my soul. How can I not like this? Your efforts are appreciated.
this whole video was good from start to finish, thanks for translating this, here's hoping you do more, the last part was also the funniest btw, never doubt yourself when it comes to including clips, the more the merrier
This is one of the telltale signs of a good and fluent translator, when literature(like the haiku clip from hololive) and humour is preserved. This is the one thing I think people who say "I want to learn Japanese so I can translate clips" only just in the middle of this year will have trouble with even if they are gifted learners.
"Well I'm the greatest,I don't think you can be like me." _The way Ui mama says it straightforwardly with that wholesome and cute face of hers is so outstanding._
I think it's popular in their traditional performances on stage which are a lot about witty lines (check out Joshiraku lol), but yeah, not too common ig

Guys...it's not rare. Understandably, most overseas fans won't get it, but a lot of variety shows in JP are filled with this type of snarky and witty humor and behavior, some even to the point of getting borderline personal with the hosts and guests at times. They trend on Twitter a lot when a lot of laughable moments happen, especially in late-afternoon shows, when everybody's tuning in. I don't mean to diss, I just want to put some enlightenment on the age-old stereotype that "JP show culture is really polite and formal". It's really not all that. A week of immersing yourself in most of the JP mainstream media culture will tell you that it's really playful and bubbly a lot of times.
2:08 Damn, Ui may take the piss on people's questions a lot, but she really started giving damn good advice when it counted. Stay healthy my bros. Find a hobby or something to make physical activity and fresh air and sunlight more fun. I mountain bike a lot and it's helped me so much over the years. Nothing like murdering your body on a hill to make that depression go away.
people with mental illness sometimes are weird. some really have that illness and need help. BUT SOME ARE JUST SOME ATTENTION SEEKER AND WEAK PEOPLE. Not really people with mental issues. Like.. really. For example, like.. some people think "ahh it's hard". But they never try it and just consuming bad comment from other people everytime. And in the end they just ignore it and never try that thing. And then they go into some people to get advice thingy. such a waste... waste of time and money to get that advice thingy.
she's great, her laugh is cuwute i agree with the JK, she's one of the streamers i really wish i knew japanese for, because her chatting streams really seem super chill and funny, but not the sort of thing that leads to many ~5min clips for people to translate. tamaki would be the other one i feel like this about the most because of all the interviews.

HELL YEAH SHIGURE ROASTING MORE MARSHMALLOWS FOR DINNER YAY also you should prolly put in "shigure ui" somewhere in the video desc/tags so it shows up in search results
The positivity part is genuinely good advice. Research has actually demonstrated that improving your own physical health has positive mental benefits (e.g. its easier to feel/experience joy). Have a buddy who works in PT and he claims that it even acts as a sort of positive feedback cycle; healthier body leads to a better state-of-mind which, in turn, confers _more_ benefits for your physical health! note: I can't vouch for the ending bit. I've never seen a journal article linking cannibalism to mental wellness -though, come to think of it... I haven't read any research reports that -*-disprove-*- that claim... hmm-

Ui-mama's fans are real madcaps. Pair them up with her dry humour and you get an extremely entertaining mix. I love her marshmallow sessions.
Dry humor is probably my favorite kind of humor.
I always find these clips very entertaining.
Viewers are the streamers reflection
I'm impressed by how you localised the "Uma-eats" pun.
For me, it's the Sagure Ui..😆
