You don’t really have to push the press on very hard. Using more glue and less pressure was a game changer for the longevity of my press ons. More glue on the press on and your nail like you were doing, hold at the free edge tip, line up the edge to the cuticle at an angle, and then using the cuticle as a hinge slowly bring the press on flush with your nail. You can watch the air bubbles push out towards the free edge of your nail, and once the air bubbles are gone just hold the nail there. - You never have to really push in the center of your nail. That pushes the glue out more to the sides rather than off the free edge, and I also find that I’ll get sneaky air bubbles that I don’t see until the glue has set. Just holding from the tip, you can see immediately if you don’t have enough glue and pick it right back up and fix it and try again. -I do sometimes do an extra squeeze on my sidewalls if I feel like it needs it. Also, you brought up filing the cuticle side of the press ons to match your nail, but you can also gently curve or flatten the press on before applying. I usually try this first on a size that I won’t use to make sure nothing will distort when I do this. -I like to concentrate my glue in the center, especially on the press on (kind of the same concept as when you do dip nails). I’ll do it thin over my whole natural nail, an extra dollop in the center, and then really just in the center of the press on. It isn’t failsafe about keep glue from flooding the cuticles, but for me it has been the most successful. Sorry this is so long! I have been doing press ons for years and these are just tips I’ve picked up along the way!
Yeah, not as much pressure needed on press on, except for the sides. I use an acrylic pincher for the sides, cuz that's where they mostly pop off for me (curved natural nails). But then, I use dip system top coat for the glue, and gel extensions UV base coat (thicker base coat than the thin one everyone is using, cuz the thin one is for gel polish). 7 out of 10 times, I had to file press ons off like gel extensions cuz there is no way taking them off.
I run into the opposite problem with press-ons and tips. My nails are soo small. Everytime I would get a set at a salon they would always joke and say how they could "use all pinky sized nails" for my nails 🤦
That’s exactly the same problem for me!! In press on boxes/packs there is always a lot of nails but I can only use the smaller ones and I never use the bigger ones because there way to big for me! So then it’s just a waste at the end😭😭
When I buy press-ons, the only one that never fits properly is the thumb and that happens every time I get them. I honestly don’t know why the thumbs never fit on my thumb…maybe it’s the nail bed or something

With all my press ons that I order from places like Shein (I also make my own press ons), I always etch the inside and I also put a few coats of top coat or builder Gel on top of them to make them stronger. Sometimes I even add my own stones or designs to them. 🤗🥰
so you put the builder gel on top and then cure it with a UV lamp? What is the benefit, except shine? I thought you use the builder gel instead of the glue
@@keinohrtini I'm sorry sweetie . I just saw your message. Yeah builder gel definitely makes the nail stronger. I sometimes use it to make the nail stronger if it's a set of press-ons that I brought from Shein or Walmart, etc. I usually design my own press-ons and I don't need to use builder gel with those nails because they are already really strong. You can also use a few coats of a thick top coat to make them stronger.
You shouldn't slide the nail on because the glue is going to squeeze out at the bottom. You should place the nail at the cuticle at a 45° angle & press down. Also, if you want them to last, etch the inside of the nail 🥰
@@amandar4628 If you have an e-file you remove the shine by lightly roughing up the inside of the nail. If you don't have an e-file, you can use a nail file. It'll be a little hard to do the pinkys though 😊

while I enjoy the videos as always, I think pressons are exciting with how they've evolved. something about building out and doing everything to a set of acrylics hits different.
I order on a regular from them. They have warehouses in the US as well as overseas. If you are ordering clothing make sure you take your measurements in inches and compare it to their sizing chart.
After learning certain polygel methods and the lazy girl method with polygel, I decided to go back to press-ons, calling it my "off weeks from doing my nails. Big mistake. I was quickly reminded of how weak the press-ons were within a day or two.
I ordered from there before and did a few hauls on my channel. I enjoyed the products I got from there. Shein has such cute items. those nails are giving me power puff girls vibes love them.
The easiest nails I've done were with $0.98 LA Colors nails from Walmart. I got light blue and light green and they're so thin from being so cheap that I figured the LED light would work through the color. I used solid nail glue (I love it so much!) and just cured them as if they were clear. Worked perfectly, held on for over 3 weeks, and I didn't have to paint them after putting them on.

I love SHEIN nails..shipping is really fast (unless the order is large)..I have noticed some are not that great but most are durable and fit great!! Also last 🦄🦄
They have on in the U.S. I buy my daughter clothes from there along with school supplies and lunch boxes some nail products. My daughter and I love how the clothes fit her and the quality isn’t bad.
I don’t buy their press ons but I have so many nail supplies, organizers, containers and nail charms and gems from SHEIN I love them and it’s cheap so I can refill my supplies if needed
You made me want try press ons. Sometime I don’t be in the mood to be doing my nails or I don’t have the time. Just bought the Kiara Sky acrylic press ons. Never used acrylic to put on press ons, excited to try it
If the smile line is too wide file it to fit your natural smile line! It works for me because my smile lines are a lot more small and less wide! Since I noticed the smile line of the nail is a lot wider than your natural smile line. I love your videos! ❤❤❤
Girl I bought press ons at dollar tree for $1.25 and brush on glue from Walmart for $1.40. On day 2 and one has cracked but overall Kona impressed. Worked up the courage to try this because of you!
I get all my press ons from them and use kiss nail glue to put them on. Some are much better than others. But I love adding jewels and pearl decorations to them, and they always get a ton of compliments :)
Oh my god you look so gorgeous in braids 😭🤩 I am looooooving that look on you 🥰 you look so ready for a summer vacation lol! And these nails were adorable. I usually do gel x but now I kinda wanna do the kiara sky press ons 👀 can’t wait to see your video on those!!!
I feel like I’m super late to the Shein nails party lol; I’ve got my order of press ons on the way this week and I can’t wait to try them. I plan to try to reinforce mine with some gel overlays before putting them on. Ps love your hair!
My mom had a hair salon with my dad, they did manicures too. When my mom does my nails (false nails) she puts a little glue on the nail and then drags it on the real nail so that it doesn't stick badly and doesn't have bubbles. I loved this video btw! I love everything that has to do with beauty. Greetings
And the way I do my press ons to not get air bubbles is once I have a “good” amount of glue I push the nail up under the edge of my cuticle and then slowly push down from the cuticle toward the tip of my nail holding with a good amount of pressure and i don’t have any air bubbles
Twice I’ve tried cheap press ons and both times the nail is way too narrow in an angular way. And I have pretty narrow nail beds. I quit trying. Just make my own with full coverage. Love your content. You’re so chill.
I ordered a bunch of stuff from Shein. Even their clothing. And when I tell you I absolutely love their clothing. It's true to size. I have ordered nail accessories also. This is one of my go to websites 90% of the time.
I tried SHEIN press ons. They are good for the price, unfortunately most of the press ons are good for someone with short or small nail beds. Edit: I tried gluing them with gel glue 😅
I have not tried the nails from Shein, I've only ordered swim suits, cover up and some clothing for Mexico last summer and I was very pleased with the quality of them. Some of my favorite suits. I had gotten too much sun one day there and wore a beautiful cobalt blue two piece the next day to cover my shoulders. The bottom was a string bikini and the top was swimsuit material but it was like a tight short sleeve cropped shirt and it came together at the boobies with a gold ring, so comfortable and cute.
People try to make shein look bad but in reality almost all clothes come from China so in a way Shein is cutting out the middleman🤷🏾♀️. I've bought beautiful quality clothes from them same clothes labeled differently in h&m and other stores. These same nails will be $10 at walmart.
Exactly. Besides people forget that US money is worth wayyyy more than Chinese Yuan (which is worth $0.15 in US currency). So you can't apply certain things to China, because for $5USD in China you can get a week's worth of groceries. People love to cry about protesting and being a social justice advocate, but lack basic understanding of how the world works. In order to cancel Shein or validly criticize them then we'd have to criticize the industry as well. Everything in the US comes from overseas (usually countries with extremely cheap labor like China, the Philippines, Taiwan, etc)- with China producing roughly 85-90% of products in the US. I'm not going to be critical of something that I don't have actual proof of, and that is extremely common in the US anyways.
it’s not about the quality. it’s about the overworked and underpaid workers, the stealing of art from other smaller designers, and the most recent scandal about unhealthy levels of lead and other toxic chemicals in the products which can even lead to miscarriages. there’s so much wrong with shein and fast fashion in general.
Reminder for anyone: Jesus loves you so much repent from your sins before it’s too late we all sinned before but the good thing is that god is a loving and forgiving god who loves and cares about you so repent before his second coming and love yourself don’t try to be anyone else because everyone else is taken.
I have bought from them before and they usually last about 2 weeks and I am using my hands to work outside on our property. Putting glue on both the natural nail and the press on is a game changer. I usually hold mine down for 30 seconds and I do not put oil on my cuticles for a couple of hours so the glue can totally dry. I figure for $2, if I ruin them with everything I do, no big deal.
I just recently bought a bunch of shein press ons and only one of them came with that little file, I complimented that in my review cuz most nails don't come with a file XD even tho I have my own full size glass file to use I somewhat appreciate the tiny blue n pink file

I have a huge selection of nails from shein, I buy like 40 diff pairs at a time. And I find if you prep your nails right U can get them to last 2/3 weeks seriously. I love them
Please tell me how you usually prep ur nails because shein nails usually stay 5 days on mine 🥲
Evie I've never bought the press ons but I but just about everything else that has to do with nails and I love it.
I ordered some SHEIN press ons can’t wait for them to come !
I buy Shein nails really often and they are amazing
I’m glad to know! I’ve always wanted to throw a pack in my order!!
I am extremely in love with shein press on nails.. that is all I've been for the last few months.. my nails actually stay on for a good 2 to 3 weeks sometimes I actually have to take them off I've never had a problem with them popping off and they are very strong...
I love your videos!!!! Every time you post a vid I always get a snack and watch it! It really inspires me and give me ideas for my next nail design!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
God bless you that your press ons last so long. I started investigating doing dip and poly gel nails because my press ons never lasted more than a day! Maybe the quality has improved in the last 2 years but now I like poly gel nails!😎 But I still appreciate this content… maybe I’ll try them again.
while I enjoy the videos as always, I think pressons are exciting with how they've evolved. something about building out and doing everything to a set of acrylics hits different.
Try adhering with acrylic or builder gel. You can also use a couple coats of gel topcoat to make them stronger.
I just love your calm & sweet personality!! You & your hubby were so cute eating in the car!! Reminds me of me & my hubby!! It's lovely when u find your soul mate ❤️
just want to say i love your channel! i am always inspired by your work. i am also teaching my self to do my nails just like you did! i am a nurse and have no plans of changing careers but love trying to do mine. i do have trouble with acrylic and consistent acrylic beads. what acrylic system do you believe is best for new users and what was it that you used. do you have any tricks or tips to get consistent size beads?!?!?
She gives me such wholesome vibes and I love it ❤❤
I love SHEIN nails..shipping is really fast (unless the order is large)..I have noticed some are not that great but most are durable and fit great!! Also last 🦄🦄
They have on in the U.S. I buy my daughter clothes from there along with school supplies and lunch boxes some nail products. My daughter and I love how the clothes fit her and the quality isn’t bad.
I buy practically everything from Shein and I have never had a bad experience
I LOOOOOVE shein! Lol absolutely blown away with the amount of stuff they have! Some items are cheap but most are amazing quality! Love love love!
Just got back into wearing press ons, and love this series.
Never used acrylic to put on press ons, excited to try it
how was it?
@@jazz455 I liked it. It takes no time to do my nails at all and you can do it with any press on
I love your family, I could listen to you all day 💕
I LOVE me a SHEIN nail set! I usually buy2 of the same set to get more of the sizes! Love this video!
If the smile line is too wide file it to fit your natural smile line! It works for me because my smile lines are a lot more small and less wide! Since I noticed the smile line of the nail is a lot wider than your natural smile line. I love your videos! ❤❤❤
I have tried the exact Shein nails and it works well for me it’s also pretty cute
Girl I bought press ons at dollar tree for $1.25 and brush on glue from Walmart for $1.40. On day 2 and one has cracked but overall Kona impressed. Worked up the courage to try this because of you!
Girl, Dollar Tree nails are just crap!! Walmart sells LA Colors press ons for 98c. They are much better quality than the DT ones
@@keinohrtini I bought some Walmart ones! Haven’t tried them yet, but thank you for the recommendation
I get all my press ons from them and use kiss nail glue to put them on. Some are much better than others. But I love adding jewels and pearl decorations to them, and they always get a ton of compliments :)
I have the same problem you do with your nails, as far as shape. Thanks for all the tips. Your braids are beautiful!
1. those nails are so cute, glad they held up, 2. your hair looks beautiful braided!
Have you ever considered using acrylic to bond the press-ons to your nails? I think it'd work better with your nail shape.
I’ve had really good luck with things from Shein so far no complaints
I feel like I’m super late to the Shein nails party lol; I’ve got my order of press ons on the way this week and I can’t wait to try them. I plan to try to reinforce mine with some gel overlays before putting them on. Ps love your hair!
My mom had a hair salon with my dad, they did manicures too. When my mom does my nails (false nails) she puts a little glue on the nail and then drags it on the real nail so that it doesn't stick badly and doesn't have bubbles. I loved this video btw! I love everything that has to do with beauty. Greetings
Love Shein!! They do have a warehouse in the US, but it doesn’t have everything.
Yea i believe its a return warehouse that keeps some things as well. I got something next day from ny and it was same return order addy
Love you mommas hope you and the fam are well! I haven’t been here much but feels good to be back, missed these vids ❤️
Omg hi I love your videos I have been watching you for ever, you have inspired me to do my own nails. Love u girl ❤️
Can you try the press on nails from Claire’s? They have a lot but I want to know if they are good or not
Come thru, Gold Eye Shadow!! I think you're right about them taking ideas!!! I've never heard of nail designs being trademarked.🤔 💅
Excited to see how these SHEIN nails throw down 😁 they have so much choice, always wonder if they’re any good! Love your vids 🧡✨
They are good
They are great. Some can be a little thin. I just put an extra coat of the top coat and they are just fine.
@@MZSHABABIE might have to try them 😁
@@cjabdou6928 might give them a try then on my next SHEIN haul 😁
And the way I do my press ons to not get air bubbles is once I have a “good” amount of glue I push the nail up under the edge of my cuticle and then slowly push down from the cuticle toward the tip of my nail holding with a good amount of pressure and i don’t have any air bubbles
Love your videos, Evie!
The braids are everything 😍
You should do 1 hand nail tips and the other hand of a recreation of them ! That would be so fun lol
yaas🤩
YESSSSS
I just love your eye shadow 😍
I tried SHEIN press ons. They are good for the price, unfortunately most of the press ons are good for someone with short or small nail beds.
Edit: I tried gluing them with gel glue 😅
OMG girl! Am I alone here who lives for those hairs? You look so gorgeous!!!
THE HAIR OMG YOU LOOK STUNNING
Exactly!!
So true they all doing the same awful things so if they don’t stop minus well just get them cheaper
it’s not about the quality. it’s about the overworked and underpaid workers, the stealing of art from other smaller designers, and the most recent scandal about unhealthy levels of lead and other toxic chemicals in the products which can even lead to miscarriages. there’s so much wrong with shein and fast fashion in general.
Reminder for anyone: Jesus loves you so much repent from your sins before it’s too late we all sinned before but the good thing is that god is a loving and forgiving god who loves and cares about you so repent before his second coming and love yourself don’t try to be anyone else because everyone else is taken.
I be loving your van cleef jewelry.
I loooove when you do press on nails also cuz your funny and sweet ❤️can you wear the press on nail for two weeks or just a week?❤️
I love all my nail “stuff” I get from them! But I have only bought nail art and files, and a couple drill bits. But it has been good stuff. 😀
I've ordered lots of the stickers and water decals. I like them.
Yes I have ordered press 0n from them I love them they stay on good just have to use your glue I love them
I absolutely love love love the way she speaks❤
SHEIN nails are the best. With the right prep my nails last 3-4 weeks. And you can’t go wrong with the price.
Thank you for sharing this. The press ons are so cute. I haven’t used them but I just might. Thank you again.
I just recently bought a bunch of shein press ons and only one of them came with that little file, I complimented that in my review cuz most nails don't come with a file XD even tho I have my own full size glass file to use I somewhat appreciate the tiny blue n pink file
