    Many folks tend to look down on drybrushing as something inferior but I do still use the technique, particularly on infantry models. It's all about getting the technique right and using the right amount of paint on your bristles I think and the GW dry paints attempt to help with this but I usually find they are too stiff and dry out REALLY quickly. It certainly sounds like the ones from Ammo are better as well as MUCH MORE sensibly priced so I will definitely give them a try when I do another order from them - and I most certainly will be ordering from them again, the last lot of stuff I got was great! Thanks again Enrique, a really helpful video.

      Thanks, Rick! I loved the consistency, you could really use it for a good while before it turned chalky. And the value for money is tremendous, as you say!

      If someone states that a certain technique is "inferior" - that is a good marker of a clueless moron who never did anything with his habds OR creativeless fool who only copies guide videos from one or two influencers and have nothing of his own to add to the topic =)

    • @stevie65able
      @stevie65able 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's all about the technique. You have to be subtle with the application. A ham fisted approach won't work. The other great variation I learnt from ModelChili's TH-cam channel is essentially "double dry brushing", when you drybrush a highlight colour, and then do a second drybrush using a medium tone between the two. You don't apply as much with the second application, but you get a very soft demarcation between all three shades. Almost a form of "micro modulation" if you will.

    awesome work and beautiful base!
    Just one detail I would consider - to do some damage to the street tiles under the titan's feet - I believe the sheer weight of the titan and the impact while walking would deform the street and crush the tiles.

    A couple of things
    -Great video as always
    -Since you mentioned they're more gel-based than normal acrylics, would you say the consistency is more akin to Scale 75 paints since they are also gel-based?
    -Please tell me all about that Warhound base, that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for to base my 30k Ultramarines

      Hey Michael, thank you very much! I have quite a few Scale 75 paints and I like them, but no, these are far denser. Think almost toothpaste consistency. As for the base, all I did was paint and weather it; II was lucky enough to get it already built.
