I honestly don't know. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Only one way to find out! 😊 The subfloor, for us, was to add some extra insulation and "cushion" to the floor. Try it and let us know! Thanks for watching!
Oh man, not what I was hoping to hear. We winter in extreme cold and it's regularly -10F in the morning. If your new floor didn't totally solve it for you, not sure what will.
I did not weigh it before and after. So, I can't say for sure how much weight it added. I would probably guess around 200 pounds. It's a toyhauler, so it has a cargo carrying capacity of 3,000 pounds in the garage area. Our specific RV has a total cargo carrying capacity of 3,450 pounds.
Great job! This was super helpful, we are doing this project now…did you cut vinyl planks so they were tight edge to edge or leave any spacing? Can you tell us what you did for trim along the walls?
Sorry for the late reply! We've been busy the past few weeks....I'm glad the video helped you out! We did leave about a 1/4" on each side to allow it to expand a bit if needed. We have not installed a trim yet, mostly because I want the floor to be easily removed if/when we sell it some day with minimal screw/nail holes. But I would think quarter round trim would look nice!
I got the edge trim at Home Depot: www.homedepot.com/p/M-D-Building-Products-1-125-in-x-96-in-Metal-Pewter-Stair-Edging-43936/300185783 Then a smaller piece for the side entry door. 😊
"Hey, what if we just never open the doors?" would have seriously crossed my mind!
Yeah, that's crossed my mind for sure! But it also would have driven me crazy knowing that we couldn't open them. Thanks for watching!
Do you have to put a subfloor? We are wanting to put floating vinyl planks. Would it sit just fine on the floor itself?

Nice job on the floor and great video, good luck out there!
Thanks, we appreciate it!
What are you doing to keep the garage area warm? I know the new floor helped tremendously.
It did help, but not enough. So we use a small space heater back there.

You guys did a fantastic job!
Thanks!
I'm leveling my floor too. What length screws did you use? Thanks for the video.
We used 2" screws. Sorry for the late reply!
How much weight did that at the add?

Also…would you help us find that trim piece at the patio doors?? We like it!
