These are the mods I fine people doing commonly Sprocket mods changing the 33 tooth back to a 30 and the front 14tooth to a 15 tooth people say it help the rebel get more gas mileage and makes the ride smoother and allows it to go up to 75 but it takes a minute because the acceleration is slowed. most people will just change the back sprocket just because the front one turning into a 15t can cause clearance issues at times with thick chains or something like that I haven't done the front sprocket mod. people also suggest not changing both at the same time just so you can get use to the riding. Getting a 3.4 tank is a common mod they cost about $150 but let you drive further. Turn signals are also another mod people do and they will get a bracket to mount the turn signals further back, on the license plate. Head light I haven't done this but since the Honda rebel is a small high rpm bike it vibrates at 55-60 and can make a weird noise and a lot of times it is the headlight. so this is often changed but I can't say anymore as I haven't done it and never had issues with this noise. On the supper simple side: Since I use mine as my main vehicle I have replaced the covers that cover the blinkers with clear ones and installed what's called a switch back lights (blinker switches from amber to white instead of on and off). and instead of installing a brake light modulator I installed a strobing brake light which strobes for 3 seconds and then hold when braking magnetic dipstick since the rebel has no oil filter. $30 inline fuel filter I bought a reusable one for $10 on ebay helps keep carb clean and improves lasting fuel efficiency.

Just an FYI..... Indian Scout bars are a direct swap on the Rebel. I've built several Rebels and use nothing but Scout bars. I have one I'm building now that I have 10" miniapes on, I work for an Indian dealership and get used parts for free.
im gonna get white wall tires (thin front tire and a fat back one) i'll also get a bigboar kit to make it a 300+ cc probably a tan seat, move my mirrors upside down and get some ape handle bars
i've had over 8 bikes and I'll say the rebel is a great reliable bike thats only con is a lack of speed, what somewhat remedied this for me was changing the rear sprocket to 31 tooth, allowed me to JUST BARELY go on the interstate at 70 ish miles an hour ... somewhat comfortably , drove 10 hours from nc to florida once after changing the rear sprocket like mentioned. great bike overall

The one I'm building now is getting 10" Mini Apes that are brand new almost brand, a customer bought a used scout that had the upgrade done and wanted 12" instead.
Another good place for a cellphone when you're on a motorcycle... In a zippered pocket, turned off... cause you're riding.. and not playing with distractions.
Because people on their Honda Rebel don't have a bluetooth headset or do any long distance riding or anything like that where they would need a charger eventually.

Air filter intake makes no difference whatsoever. The intake is so large, that even at top speed it lets in more air than the engine can take, regardless of exhaust.
That is one of the most correct statements I have read about Reb mods. All I did was re-jetted (with a whole kit of carb mods from 6 Sigma Racing on ebay) and get 70-75mph with loads more acceleration. I will soon however remove both front and rear baffles to match the increased fuel flow. If you take the stock air filter with your hand over one end and blow through the other, you will find NO resistance!!!!!! Next is to change sprockets to gain more top end for this extra power, then maybe put 12" mini ape-hangers on ('99 model). Oh, and a sissy bar.

No the bars are too thick. Rebels take 1" bars. Indian Bars are a direct swap though because they are both 1" thick. I have built several Rebels and all I use is Scout bars, I work at a indain dealership and get them for free though because we keep parts we take off.
If your still looking for a carburetor try Jack's rebel warehouse in Florida just Google it he has everything for rebels original Honda parts good luck
Throw in an air cooled 1300cc 45 Vtwin, nice stg1 pipes, rebuild rear frame to fit fatboy tires, get a decent fork, comfy solo rider seat & there you go.

I am disappointed with the lack of aftermarket performance parts for the 250 Rebel.

Ask for something as wide as possible that does not rub at your local motorcycle tyre shop. That's exactly what I did. The tyre is in my avatar.
