I feel like so many open abandoned places should be turned into next level skate parks, keep kids active, out of the bad trouble and into the good trouble, got lots of love for skaters.... they believe they can fly! And they can!
As much as I love there being a lot of skateparks for kids to learn their shit, what the city really needs for those open abandoned places is good housing units for the homeless.

We gotta stop letting all these negativitie things influence the kids. Too many kids killing eachother. Too many kids acting like gang. All cuz that’s what there taking in and projecting back into the world. I don’t even wanna talk about how females are acting. But everything needs a big turn Around.
im moving to LA soon and these videos make me so excited to try parks like these out myself. I love how the mid part of the park is essentially a massive manny pad
Sometimes the town is only willing to or has so much money. Better than having nothing at all I say. On the plus side, it can be easier to flow the whole park without pushing when it's on the smaller side.
For me this seems like my dream park bc it has everything you need to learn anything and everything, although it’s not big it’s good for beginners specially, great for intermediate skaters and the pros would have no problem with this.

Tbf, In my city we had 2 parks for like 30 years, one was basically 1/3 of this size with only flat ground and a rail and 2 ledges. The other was basically this size but in a square instead of a rectangle with a tiny half pipe and a tiny bowl and then a few random hips. So the moral is, I think lots of skateparks have ALWAYS been tiny, it’s just that the west never had GOOD tiny parks until recently 😂
Atleast you have a skatepark I can’t even skate on my damn tennis court in my neighborhood anymore because the new security guard is taking his job to seriously and I don’t wanna be a dick because he’s just doing his job to provide for his family. The only skatepark is just a ton of quarter pipes in different directions they spend millions on the work most useless park money could buy.
Small parks are great. Less intimidating for new skaters, lower cost, could be spread all over a city. Less likely for it to be over designed, once you figure out how to put in the essentials in the space there's not much space left. Great use for spaces that might not work for a house/business.
Parks are so small now because the ones responsible for building a park get funding, and a small percentage of that funding is actually spent on the park 😅 There's a park in my town, theres a decent QP into a horrible pyramid that goes from flat to an instant slope, so you have to kinda let your weight off the board and bounce up the slope, if you're lucky enough to have enough speed to reach the top, you can go down the other side, where you have 6 foot of flat before a fence. The ground is awful too, its that rough that your board starts drifting away from you when you push.

The whole point of the A frame is it goes up *_and_* down. Theres no reason to pop in the middle, just find a different rail? The whole point is to not pop there
I wish I had a skatepark like that when I was little. It's bigger than the so called skateparks that they have built where I am. Also, it is properly built with proper flat.

Small parks are great.
