32GB is already playing it safe. 16GB will be plenty enough for a long time. But with RAM being as cheap as it is nowadays you can very well buy 96GBs because why not.
I'm explaining to you, because many people don't understand this: when you use 8 GB of RAM, the rest of the data is loaded onto the SSD/HDD, and a lot of it gets there, a lot of reading and writing, when 16 GB, then a little less, but still a lot of data is processed and stored by the disk and even 32 GB does not allow you to get rid of this, why am I saying this? because the resource of your SSD/HDD disk is reduced by several years due to the included "paging file", you can completely turn off the paging file having 64 gigabytes of RAM and absolutely all temporary data will be stored in RAM and the disk will write and read a thousand gigabytes of data less every month, so if you want to save the disk resource, then take 64 gigabytes, and if you have a cheap disk and you don't feel sorry for it and the data on it, then it doesn't matter)
You logic is stupid. SSDs nowadays are just as cheap. Also it would take literal years for your SSD to reach its end of life due to read and write, by which time you most likely have upgraded it already.
This is very wrong advice. The Page file system is the skeleton of Windows System RAM management. It does more than just augment lower amounts of RAM, it also provides hard written data in case of an instant system or power crash. Microsoft NEVER recommends removing the page file for Windows, regardless of the amount of onboard system RAM. You might read other online nerds repeating that "advice", but Microsoft never will.
I'd avoid the future proof mindset and stick to best bang for your buck. 32GB is fine for 2k/4k gaming. When it comes to RAM we haven't even begun to hit a point where 16GB is a noticeable bottleneck purely in gaming. If you do any video editing then 32GB becomes the standard with the only reason to go 64GB or higher would be for time purposes.
Ram is one of components that is easiest to add in PC, and least expensive. There is nothing future profing with RAM, unlike motherboard, sockets on motherboard limit what kind of RAM and CPU you use, and getting cheap on LGA 1200 over 1700 is very risky.

16gb trash 32gb okay 64gb best option in 2024
What ram is this, ddr4 or ddr5? Nvm, I figured it out, it's ddr4. Cheers for the vod.
People will go now to buy 64GB because "i saw in in a video, up to 2% more fps" hahahahahahah.
Like 100$ more for that, GL
Lol littirally cost me 10 bucks more for 64 over a 32 kit
@@Mikey-zj8bn Where and what RAM kit?
amma go from 32 to 128
How is 32gb worse
I've been using 64GB of RAM for 5 years now as 32GB of RAM has been outdated for 5 years. Let the minimum wage use 32GB.
It's not 2015 pal. Provoking random people in the comment section is outdated. At least cheap takes like yours
@@dziewon6872 Last time I checked minimum wage was considered trash. It's quite normal to look down upon minimum wage these days because everyone knows that they are worthless. If you're a minimum wage recipient that means you failed in life and will always be a failure.
@@dziewon6872 LMFAO! It's 2024 as minimum wage are being found and being treated like the trash that they are.
Ray tracing is ram taxing. I upgraded my laptop today from 16 to 32 ddr5 and played Cyberpunk maxed out and noticed 5 to 10 fps gains
well more ram means less stuttering specially when you are using ray tracing or dlss/frame generation
It would be great if you ad that .1% fps as aswell the n only it makes sense!
