Glad to see you doing the MCU. I will be watching all your videos.
Thank you!! 😸
"I am Iron Man."
Fun Fact: During filming, a tank accidentally ran over an Aaton 35mm camera.
Stan Lee Cameo Fact: Comic writer Stan Lee appears at Tony Stark's party playing the role of Hugh Hefner, accompanied by three blonde women. Lee later mentioned that it was his most fun cameo.
What Script Fact: "I am Iron Man" was ad-libbed by Robert Downey Jr.. Producer Kevin Feige approved using it in the final cut of the film and credits this with his decision to largely do away with secret identities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Practical Over CGI Fact: Although originally planned as a completely digital suit, the Stan Winston Studio Iron Man team built a "real" Mark I suit that wound up performing over 80% of the Mark I shots in the final film. From the first film test to flamethrowers blazing real fire, the Mark I suit was a pivotal creation that would set the tone for the Iron Man franchise's fantastic blend of both digital and practical techniques to bring Tony Stark's armor to life. The Iron Man Mark I armor weighed ninety pounds.
Burger King Connection Fact: In an interview with Britain's Empire Magazine, Robert Downey Jr. thanked Burger King for helping him get straight in 2003, with a car full of drugs. He had a burger that was so disgusting, it made him rethink his life, and dump the drugs in the ocean. He repeats this, with his impromptu sit-down session with the press, upon his return from captivity. Burger King also promoted the film with toys based on this movie, as well as the sequel. On a personal note, I actually love Burger King.
Casting Notes Fact: Paul Bettany recorded all of his lines as J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System) in two hours. According to Paul Bettany, he did not know on which film he was working. He merely did the job as a favor for director Jon Favreau. Paul Bettany has never seen the film and is unfamiliar with the plot. He said J.A.R.V.I.S. was the easiest job ever, and it was almost like a robbery, since he only worked for two hours, got paid a lot of money, then went on vacation with his wife Jennifer Connelly.
Oh wow!! Thanks for this insight.
You're welcome! 😁
Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍
Always fun to see people starting the MCU journey. I can imagine watching Endgame with no context must have been an interesting experience.
@18:58 RDJ showed the silent rage of betrayal that Tony was feeling in his eyes perfectly.
I enjoy watching people react to the marvel series. Your gonna have fun with this. Cant wait!!
Thank you! We’re excited to watch them too 😺
I couldn’t imagine seeing Endgame without seeing most of these movies. Or at least seeing Avengers, Age of Ultron, Guardians, and Black Panther….maybe Civil War, Antman, and Ragnarok as well.
My first mcu movie was endgame😂 and i forgot about it for a while because i had no connection to it. I then watched no way home as my 2nd mcu movie and i fell in love with spiderman so i ended up watching all the spiderman movies and eventually civil war because i looked up all the films tom holland stars as spiderman.
Watching endgame in the first place you spoiled enough yourself.
Lol, yeah! But it’ll be interesting to see how it all comes together 😺
At least they're honest about what they've watched.
Totally down for watching the MCU with some cats and their dads!
Thank you so much for joining us and the kitties for these adventures! 😺
Im here for Victors reaction mainly. Watching End Game and restarting this, although a sincere journey, is a major disservice for yourself. You literally know the ending and that is bonkers to me. Anyhow, love the channel and videos. And both guys are sexy.
Knowing that you guys know how it all ends, I'm trying to decide if I want to go along for this ride.
Hope you are along for the ride. It's the journey that counts.
So Tony watched it many years ago, but Victor hasn’t. But the anticipation for Victor to see it is awesome.
Don't just cover movies that everyone else does. Highly suggest reacting to the following overlooked animated movies:
Charlotte's Web (1973)
Wizards (1977)
The Hobbit (1977)
Heavy Metal (1981)
The Last Unicorn (1982)
The Flight Of Dragons (1982)
The Secret Of NIMH (1982)
Fire & Ice (1983)
The Adventures Of Mark Twain (1985)
An American Tail (1986)
Kaena: The Prophecy (2003)
All are available on TH-cam Movies channel to rent or buy, so there's one place where you can find them.
I suggest turning on subtitles, since you might have mute all the music.
Great suggestions!
My childhood flashed before my eyes with this suggestion list, love it!
What you may not realize is that the ARC Reactor Tony built in that cave produces around the same amount of power that three nuclear power plants produces and it's that small.
Holy crap! Did not know that - that’s insane 😱
I just found you two and I'm excited to watch movies with you. I love your insight and your cats.
Welcome aboard!!!!
I'm on-board for the whole series watchalong on your VODs, you two are adorable and thoughtful on character development, not just reactive to the special effects or coming from a comic nerd perspective! I'm bingeing all your VODs today!
The MCU wasn't the first series to use after-credits scenes for the 'larger narrative' but they kinda made it infamous. My friends and I would be the only people sitting to the end of the credits for Marvel movies when they first came out (by chance, because we stay for all the credits of movies), but by End Game the entire audience was sitting still waiting for the after credits scenes.
Awww thank you, comments like this make us want to continue doing this. Welcome aboard!!!
His superpower is his ego
Ha!!!! You’re not wrong there! 😸
Can’t wait for more reactions. You guys seem fun! 😄
Thank you very much! This was our first video I like to think we have gotten better since then. We are happy to have you around.
The best part about Robert Downey Junior as Tony Stark is that if u knew the comics, you would know that he nails the role 250%.
Also fun fact, Marvel Studios didnt have the rights at this time for thier most popular characters like X-Men, Spider-Man or Fantastic Four, so they had to risk it with Avengers & Guardians of the Galaxy characters which were B-C tier characters at that time.
Interesting - and we just finished reacting to Guardians and thought those characters are soooooo awesome! Reaction coming soon.
New sub here. Hey fellas. I'm ready for this journey!
Thank you for the support! Excited for what’s yet to come 😺
Omg!! Morí ❤
Ha!!! Welcome to the craziness 😂
You guys are in for a ride!!! Whenever cool dudes like you start the MCU journey, plus the Avatar the Last Airbender?? count me in!!! Subscribed.
Thank you so much for the support and for coming along the crazy adventure with us!! 😺
Hiiiii Juju and Raven!
They are meowing right back at’cha! 😺😺
That's insane! who watches End game when they haven't seen any of the others! It wasn't impossible to not watch!
Why would you go to the final movie of a 20+ movie franchise? 😅
Friends dragged me down to that haha sorry 😢
Did he just spoil the endgame and iron-man😂😂
