@@rw80 Like this band too. Relax, just saying the good old days. Yeah I seen some good bands pooping up too. Somebody told me: Label doesn’t care about your music. All they care about is money. And Labels generally care more about the amount of followers you have on social media than if you actually play listenable music. If you have more the better, that is how you get signed. At least 1million over to be looked at from a Label and an deal. Plus nothing can replace getting out there, playing shows in front of people, and building your audience. Unless you have tons of disposable money laying around to pay for digital advertising. What your thoughts about getting the music out there both social digital and just playing in the shows?
This song just popped into my head for some reason. It's depressing listening to this. I just want to be back in that time again. I just want that life back. Drinking, smoking, clubbing, turning up to work still high from the night before and when your shift ends, you do it all again. I thought the deal was that our parents were old and we stayed young and reckless.
Only just noticed how clever the start is.. intro sets up the key of A. Singer starts on a C# note but immediately slides up to D#, and the song kicks off in B. First lyric: "Don't you think it's funny when nothing's what it seems?"
I saw The Wonder Stuff play at Toad's place in New Haven, CT. in late September of 1991. Unbeknownst to my 13 year old self, that same night a little indie band from Seattle called Nirvana was playing just a few miles down the road 😩

Track appears to be a reflective and somewhat satirical exploration of the complexities and disappointments of life. The lyrics convey a sense of disillusionment, contrasting the expectations of life with its stark reality. In the first verse, the song suggests that life is often not what it seems when one looks forward to it. The metaphor of life being compared to a drink, specifically bourbon, symbolizes the desire for life to be rich and satisfying. However, the irony is highlighted as the narrator expresses their hope for life to taste like bourbon, yet acknowledges that they have been drunk countless times, implying a pattern of unfulfilled expectations.

As they have in every other decade...
There are still lots of bands and musicians the play real instruments. If you don’t see them the problem is om your side.
