Corona Razor Tooth Saw: Taming The Wilderness

- I use the Corona Razor Tooth Saw to clear a 50-yard path on my property. The path was blocked with Saw Briars, young trees, and lots of fallen trees and branches. The goal was to make a clear, walkable path to connect two existing trails for easier access to my land. Watch as the Corona Razor Tooth Saw breezes through what once seemed like an overwhelming task.

Impressive saw David, thanks for sharing YAH bless brother !
very cool. I can almost hear Monty Pythons " I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok " in the background.
Chuckle chuckle chuckle - cowbird….lead to big smile right into the mullein-star! Well done! Fire maestro!
Thank you kindly!
I've had my Corona say for a long time, I love the way it cuts. Just treat it carefully. It will cut thru you faster than it cuts wood. 😮
True, before, getting used to the pull cut, I caused the blade to jump out of the kerf and into my thumbnail and thumb.
Really like my 10" Corona.... thanks for leading me to it!
YW, friend!
I've been impressed with Corona tools overall.
I have that same saw! I couldn't even guess how many pine knots that thing has cut for me lol.
Great saw for sure. Inexpensive too!
I’ve really worked my Corona Saws over the years.
Good thing it’s not yellow jacket time!😁😁😁 I carry a silky Pocket Boy in all my hunting/rambling trips…excellent!
Great saws too.
I have both the 7 & 10" . I process Lotz of small firewood with them, Very Valuable saws I would no longer be without 💯👍👍🤠
I love them too.
All done Bwana -- Okay??
Yes, very nice; you may rest now.
(All I missed were the jungle drums, some angry chimps and Tarzan's yodel. Oh, and of course, Jane!! :) Guess I can't have everything.)
I reckon that, at some point in the recent past, you must have cut down, split, shaved and burned the limb that held the Cowbird's nest and, now, he's taking revenge.
Mullein is looking real fine.
I must admit that I don’t know much about these saws so I appreciate your input about this saw. Always keep learning.
It took me a while to decide if Corona was better than Silky. I think it is.
A good folding saw is a real game changer 🫡
Indeed!
The TH-cam channel Project Farm does really thorough comparisons of leading brand items.. which he has a wonderfully done video of these folding saws.. and the Corona sawed through the test material faster than any other brand.. Corona saws was developed for the people working the power lines so it needed to be extremely efficient and light weight.. along with the plastic handle some people look down on plays a role in insulating the saw.. I know it's just my opinion but Corona saws are BY FAR the best bang for your buck.. as they are high end cutting power at half to a third the cost of its closest competitor...
Great video David with the David West channel..!!!
Something no one ever mentions, because of it curve and very sharp teeth you can grab anything and pull it to you vines, out of reach branches, grabbing up limbs off the ground with little bending over.
Thanks David for the tutorial. These Carona saws are great. I had one until my grandson set claim to it. Now I keep my Silky and Laplander hidden from him.
You made me chuckle!
That place looks awesome
it's amazing how fast a path or trail can become overgrown with weeds etc. you should get a couple of doors from an auto salvage yard for the Camry, the car doesn't seem to be in bad condition, enjoyed the video
I’ve gotten the junkyard doors comment a lot. I have thought about it since the wreck a year ago.
Done plenty of that in my early years. On a survey crew But loved being in the woods
I'm fascinated by the very steep terraces. They're on average 8' high and 15' wide.
I always hear Bahco this, Silky that all the time. My first folding saw was that very same Corona one in the video. I use it any time i need to prune or trim something. I even bring it with me to cut some fatwood knots off a dead pine tree from time to time. Cuts through everything without breaking a sweat. It is so sharp, take that word "razor" in the name seriously!! After the first time i used it, there was some sawdust embedded between the teeth, so i swiped it off with my finger. Those teeth sliced my finger in about 4 places, bled forever, i might as well have run my fingers across a bic razor...
Quality and efficiency at a great price.
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve seen similar tall stumps, taller by 2 and thicker by 4, close by a forest trail where a friend drew stuff (logs etc., him walking beside) with a horse. He said that one horse sometimes wouldn’t comply with commands or pulling reins to stop. Said those stumps were to drop the reins onto, problem solved.
Your tall stumps would work fine for dropping the cat leash over, to get some moments of relaxation on your cat walking rounds.
Lol, Ty.
I knew two brothers, If they couldn't find someone fight, by the end of the night they'd fight each other. That bird couldn't find anyone to fight so he fought the Camry and the Camry's taking a whippin'.
I know, lol.
Lol, now i get the bag over mirror😂
You appear to be a very thoughtful survivalist. And sometimes it appears that you not always moved by the most popular item used by other survivors. But what would be a good camping to purchase without having to sell the car?
You’re not always trying to sell an item. But how to use that type of item and I think that’s very helpful and I really appreciate it.
hmm, I watched the silky gomboy vid and somehow in comments I got the notion that this saw (or some other Corona) was two way cut vs back only?
~ I punched this saw up on Home depot and the 3 stars to 1 reviews are same as a silky, blades breaking, few other goofy like got dull and cannot sharpen/pricey blades. eesh, the whole 7" was 20.00..blade only looking about the same. (said what?)
Years back I got an extendable via sections 16' rope lopper with a curved saw blade as head option. Saw blade curved but had three positions via wing screw down. This saw with curve continuing through handle leaves me flat like fancy face razors. ~ My wrist pivots for curves.
umm, did I see you saw a vine at chest height? They grow as some Audry 3 from space plant.
David could use one of them 15" Fiskars (geared) loppers for the back pocket as I do doing this chit yearly along property line crazy growth.
~ umm #2: I had a 60 foot old blue spruce fall over on my garage via wind a decade back. ...chainsawed long end and rootball lifted the tree off my garage. eesh, pulling over the 7' or what stump with Jeep wasn't going well, until..
~ I fired up my 11amp. "corded" sawzall and cut the roots I tried to dig to (eesh again) sub surface/not seen like butter. Soft soil as I see yours. Bam it came right out. woot!
~~ Point being of this twaddle is leaving them 1.5" saplings sos don't trip over/impale a rib.
: My neighbor bought a battery (whatever amp., bit not whimpy) powered Sawzall for policing his Huge oak tree from a 16' step latter..li'l at time size of course. And he has high praise for his purchase for oak.
Easily it with a good blade such would cut them saplings sub surface and not hiccup I'll bet. No tripping haz/rib buster in dem woods. ~ I'd have gotten one but I don't do battery stuffs for such as would be annual use atrophy.
David...you got a good stand of rodadendrums. Bet they are beutiful in yhe spring.

I never go camping. I mostly demonstrate primitive fire making techniques.
You're definitely raised in the south. It's been so hot lately how can you work like that in this heat. I'm in Georgia and after 5 yrs down here in the south still not acclimated to summer down here.
It got up to a scorching 98 today. I could just barely stand to touch the Camry’s steering wheel and inside door handles. It wasn’t anywhere near that hot in the dappled shade in the woods this morning at 10 am.
Mine works harder than I do.
I’ve had one for a long time I think I paid 20.00 for it and it goes everywhere with me they make larger ones and I may get one but we’ll worth the money.
Great saws, TY!
Can you or have you given a list of woods that are best to worst for scraping to start a fire, besides fatwood.
No, generally hardwoods over soft.
@@DavidWestBgood2ppl thank you
Show me my fatwood weeps sap so I keep it in a little metal bucket but I'm in North Central Texas and it gets hot and humid and what are the things I do with fatwood and I will put them in a wax coating and it just keeps the sap from seeping out when it gets hot.. I think it's funny to watch my red bird fight with a reflection in the mirror😂 I let him have had it.. when he thinks he's won the fight he gets in the tree next to car and tells everybody hates the winter😂😂
That’s a good idea. I could set up a mirror for the Cow Bird. I actually love all things nature and science!
@@DavidWestBgood2ppl
Yeah I love that idea shut up and get some video 📸 my red bird is a trip he gets up there and does his little bird dance where he flips his top knot up and does Redbird territorial calls
LOL!
👍👍👍 .. but its not a Silky or Bahco Laplander 😳 .. OMW! What will the, the, Bushcrafters think? 😁.
I have a Felco 600 bought at my local 'Bau Centre'. Cost in Chf - Usd converted, under $33.00. It cuts through the local Swiss Vegetation like a hot knife through butter and the store racks have replacement blades and other spares should one ever need them.
I need to get into my local forest with a pair of 'Secateurs' / Hand Pruning Snips. The Brambles are particularly aggressive this year .. 'shooting' over the path and walk ways. The Pooch is not particular to them .. my clothing and skin, even less. Better sooner than later before somebody loses an eye 🤨.
You’ve great gear, friend!
@@DavidWestBgood2ppl 👍, thanks .. and similar to yours, does not have to cost an arm and a leg.
Magnolia bark has medical uses
We have lots of it in SC.
With those shoes there's no way this guy doesn't drive a Vette!
