Christen Press is so fantastic! When she comes in, she is responsible for great corner kicks, assists, and/or goals. Her corner kicks are consistently among the very best. Thanks to Coconut Juice for these videos yet again!

@@paradise9981 She's 5'10". When the less-height-advantaged players are churning their legs to go fast she's just loping along. She looks slow because her legs are that much longer. And Jeezus - look at her throw-ins. They look like they're going 30-35 yards in the air! Two balls a foot lower and she'd have had a brace in this game.
...She's certainly fast. It's a highlight of her skill set. Fast, tough, height, strong throw ins. But then, you have a forward taking throw ins. Taking a "play maker" out of the play essentially. Sauerbrunn has a great toss too. As Ertz can attest to. Seems like a poor coaching decision to have MacDonald take throw ins. The caveat being quick restarts. She looks slow because she's not reading the game fast enough. She doesn't make quick enough decisions. Which leads to slow reactions and therefore, disjointed runs and pressures. Her poor processing skills don't allow her to gain separation to use her speed. She is certainly not an upgrade to any of the current players at this point. To be fair, it's only her what, 2nd start, 8th cap...everyone needs a little time to get up to this level. I'm not necessarily a fan of hers, but, am trying to be open to her potential growth. I mean, look at our injury problems at the moment. Depth is important.
Did you see the first Portugal game? she was great and are you kidding me about her being slow, her speed is the main asset that got her on this team...
