Great adventure! I have thrown a cast net many times and was part of a group pulling a net. lots of fun. I've heard of using cat food as a bait. Thanks for sharing Y'alls adventure Heidi and Andy. You should dehead and freeze some over the summer . It is nice to have some in winter for gumbo and other dishes .Thanks for sharing your adventures again.
Great Fun in the Sound @ Nite! Nothing like the Sea Life. Y'alls Smile's says it ALL!! p.s. Make a vidja on how you Both throw your Nets! I love how we all have our own Style and Loading.
Our mother was from Louisiana we always when Shrimp fishing boiled shrimp was AWESOME...thanks Heidi and Andy shrimp fishing is really a lot of FUN...and GREAT to eat.
I used to think you looked to perfect , but to be honest after watching this video I think you are amazing . You both make a great couple . It looks like you both have a amazing relationship . You both show respect for each other and work well together . I think you both make the perfect couple . Looking forward to your next video ... Thank you for sharing your videos ...
Andy, your sound check sounded like a deer grunt.🤣🤣🦌 Wow, first time for me watching a shrimp catching party (or should i say shrimping). Thank you for sharing this vidéo. 👍🐺🙏
Cut a bamboo poles about 8 or 10 foot long for each of your bait balls and run them in line about 40 yards apart. Once you shove them in the mud go back and drop your bait about 6 foot from the pole. Now you know where the bait is but you have to remember what side of the pole the bait is on so do all the same. Let the bait soak a bit then cast net them and rebait. By the time you run the whole line it's time to run it again. You will have better luck and make more shrimp Tacos!😁
Heidi! OMG who told y'all to do shrimping this way? Somebody pranked y'all. It's actually fairly simple. Find a pass with grass flats on the intercoastal side and with long shrimp dip nets anchor in the pass on an outgoing tide at night. hang some lanterns over the side and look for eyeballs shining in the water and scoop them out. We used to go shrimping down in Englewood FL. like this and would routinely get 25-35 pounds of shrimp a night.
Very enjoyable to watch your videos. Heidi is absolutely beautiful. Love to meet you both one day. Stay together. Please. There is worse than being alone. Do everything you can to have fun. God bless you both and all your family.
Of course, the best time to catch shrimp is after a hurricane, at least according to Forrest Gump! 😁 And for the record, both my cats love the Friskies seafood dry food
We use a similar bait in Charleston harbor!! Fish meal, white clay and water for the bait. Very aromatic and holds together for hours. Stick a cane pile in the bottom and drop your bait ball down setting out at least ten or so. Move up and down the line using a cast net can fill a 20 gallon cooler in a few hours as fall comes on. Big ones are the key.
We shrimped at shackleford Island with nets. They hurt your hand but I grabbed them like a 50¢ piece. Cooked right on the sand camping all night with the wild horses behind us. Pretty cool 😎
Possibly my favorite video you have ever made. Two questions. How deep was the water where you were and were there more shrimp on the side with the light?
loved for ever chikia......bendiciones
