These are really nice Motors some people gave me one a couple years ago because they wanted a bigger motor. I live on a boat anchored offshore and I run it every day a couple times a day and it is the most Dependable motor I have ever owned. And as long as it's got gas in it it starts right up. Always close the cap vent in the fuel supply valve when you're tilting it I highly recommend these motors. I've lived on a boat for 25 years in the same place in this motor was a gift

Hello Elrond_Hubbard, you are correct. The trade out is the air cooled Honda 2.3 hp is much louder. Thanks for watching. We hope you'll consider subscribing to Sea Eagle Boats TH-cam Channel for more informative videos to come!
I live in the Florida Keys I've had no trouble with it overheating. I've been running it daily for over 2 years and I've never had to replace anything not even a spark plug. New water shallow down here in the mud and the seaweed once in awhile shears the PIN, about once a year. All the parts on the one I've got are Factory in is not been replaced
Hi Scott, we've never experience the same issue. Maybe try removing the fuel tank cap first? Thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats TH-cam Channel for more informative videos to come!

Are there any videos of this being used? I am curious how it performs vs Minn Kota Endura 30.

Am I wrong in thinking the 2.3 would be easier to maintain as far as replacement of seals than a water cooled engine?

Can you simply switch to reverse?
Thank you for watching! The motor spins around 360° and the tiller handle pivots 180° to accommodate reverse.
I think you mean 2.9 and not 29 gallons !?
.29 gallons or 1.1 liter. About 60 mins runtime wide open. Thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to our channel.
