When I heard him speaking I was wondering if he thought this is a look good situation...he needs to go check the meaning of the word flood. Some of them are just full of it...I wonder if he thinks that all those people who will not have a bed to sleep in tonight won't think it was a flood, or those people with their cars and businesses under water won't think so either. Some of these people are just the true representation of why Jamaicans and Jamaica as a whole will never be better...and then you have the interviewer trying very hard not to make him look stupid...smh
With everyone throwing trash everywhere except in a receptacle, flooding will occur repeatedly. Parish Council can't be blamed for that. Wake up Jamaica, to your dirty habits.

Each time the flooding occurs we hear of garbage disposal and drain cleaning. Do I support improper disposal? No way. But the inadequacies that exist in our garbage collection system are unacceptable in the year we look to celebrate 60 years of independence.

A flash flood is different from other types of flooding as it is : unexpected as it comes with no warning and the site which is flooded is normally dry or is considered safe. Flash floods typically result in loss of lives instead of property as it subsides quickly. However, normal flooding mostly damages property; ppl have enough time to evacuate the area. As to the causes of flash flooding : 1.Drains need maintainancd 2. The land may have been very dry. Consequently, instead of excess water brought on by the rains soaking into underground channels, the water sits on the surface rising and creating a flash flood. For this reason one may notice that flash floods occur only sometimes during heavy rains. They r hard to predict.
