I have never enjoyed anyone more than Sydnie- she is the full deal, personality and an interesting fabulous voice. Hope Simon gives her a contract and we can purchase CD’s.

I love this guy's face as the amazing sounds just unfold and resonate!
What impressed me the most, was before the song. She's controlling the stage with mirth and the depth of her persona. Then, Simon enters the picture like a emotional blackhole. Sucking everything out of what is good. At 2:27 you can see her look at him as if realizing she's looking at evil. Then she turns away, regroups her thoughts and attends to business, without attitude.
Those few seconds tell me all I need to know about this kind soul.
She seems to me to be as beautiful and blessed in spirit as her voice is. She's already _over the rainbow,_ she just doesn't know it yet.

She is the best singer I have ever heard. I am 78 years old and have heard thousands of singers. She out shines them all.
Fully performed, not just sung. Impactful. Connected with the audience. Telling an emotional story. Warm. Real. Soft yet so powerful. Unbelievable. She entirely embodied something like... little orphan Annie grew up and reflects on her past as an orphan and remembers her song as a girl, but sings it older and wiser... I mean, it's all there. So so deep.

That was one of my top 5 auditions I have seen on any of these talent shows. She was in TOTAL control of her voice and the crowd. And the arrangement and backing track were unique and special.

Yes, she is a superb singer, by grit & determination and constant practice, and now she is showing her creative mind to design covers of famous songs. So, she adapted each of these three songs and made them personal to her story, with her feelings & masterful singing.
When she had to find a song for the final she was averse to using Loren Allred's version of that song, that BGT suggested, for Loren is her hero: only after Loren personally contacted her and gave her the go ahead to make her own cover of Loren's song did she agree to do so: Loren also sent Sydnie a video message of encouragement, and they are keeping in touch now, too.
In a video clip, on youtube now, of the beginning of the after party at BGT on Sunday night, Sydnie, next to Amanda Holden, the judge you'll have seen now, said her dream duet would be with Loren Allred, and I'm sure they'll be organising that quite soon now, besides many other recordings.
Love her so much! A huge fan out here in Hawaii and will purchase any tracks she makes!!! Go Sydnie!

Every time I hear her sing I get chills. What a lovely woman and voice!!!! Way to go girl. I am so glad she won BGT. Good for you Sydnie. So happy for you. It would be great to sing with you some day.
She deserved the victory. To me the first song (tomorrow) was the best. She has the talent to learn from Lara Fabian, the great queen of performers.
Away a bit from how good she is, take a look inside her mouth when she sings My Way, it’s absolutely incredible, I’m sure you can see the vocal chords, I couldn’t stop looking

I have said this so many times over, but its the truth.
After the very first time i watched her audition the last time i heard a voice like Sydnie's that gentlemen went on to finish in 7th place in their BGT finals. That gentleman in 2022 had their music streamed over 1 BILLION times. That man's name is Calum Scott and just like him; Sydnie is on the same path as well. Bruno said it the best "It's Art"
This is not your kids version of 'Tomorrow' she turmed something associated with bratty kids into something far more adult and far more emotional. Expect to hear this version on every other talent show in the near future. Its amazing. Also, intrestingly, the version of Over The Rainbow they play over the end of this video, is the version of that song that she sung in the BGT final.

Simon picked Loren as one of his acts to mentor from among champions of various Got Talent shows around the world.... He chose her based on her audition last year on Britain's Got Talent when she revealed to a stunned audience that it was acutually her voice and not actress Rebecca Ferguson who sang "Never Enough" in the 2017 movie musical "The Greatest Showman" with Hugh Jackman:

Loren's BGT audition received the same kind of reaction Sydnie got for her audition of "Tomorrow."
Loren came to AGT Fantasy league 2024 with yet an even more challenging vocal range version of "Never Enough." Online reviewers were asking how she could possibly make it any better than she sang it at her BGT audition last year. Well, she did. In spades! Her vocal range was epic -- in fact, every bit as good as Sydnie's. Loren literaly had audience members staring at her bug-eyed and slack-jawed! At one point toward the end of the song, she does a crystal shattering run up her vocal range, sustains the high note a moment and sends a shockwave through the theater when she unexpectedly changes to a higher register in the middle of the run all in one fluid transition. The audience was visibly shocked!
It's noteworthy that during Sidney's remarks after being named winner of BGT 2024 last week, she said she received a congratulatory video from Loren for her "Over the Rainbow" cover. In turn, Sydnie called Loren her idol and said she hoped one day they might collaborate. ...The result undoubtedly would be mind-blowing!
@user-xt7dz7tc9o thanks for that essay, but I didn't say that Sydnie was singing. I said it's the same version (arrangement) of 'Over The Radio' that Sydnie sung in the final. The guy watching this video was not watching Sydnies songs in order and was watching this last.

The thing that puzzles me about your explanation is that you never mentioned Loren by name as the source and voice of the version/arrangement. Omission of that pertinent fact left the door wide open to giving readers the mistaken impression Sydnie was both the contestant who not only sang OTR in in the final, but also was the voice we hear at the end of the video. I wrote the "essay" because it seemed to me you weren't giving Loren credit where credit was due, just as she wasn't given proper credit for being the voice behind the voice of "Never Enough" until she auditioned on BGT. ...Ah, but what the hell. It's not the end of the world either way!

Thanks Lyle.. This version was actually recorded by Marisha Wallace as a fundraiser, 4 years ago, during the Pandemic, when the theaters were all closed. Sydnie improved it by leaps and bounds. Regarding her prior experience. She was part of a cast for a couple of plays in the past. 1 in London and 1 in Germany. She also was a cruise ship performer for Royal Caribbean. So she has experience, but has never performed on The West End according to her interviews. She was an understudy before Covid closed everything. Not exactly a household name (yet). I heard shades of Judy Garland there.

Funny too because the first time i watched that video i thought to myself “oh i wish Sydnie would sing Over the rainbow, she would nail that song” and when sure did nail it in the finals :)

I just have to comment on your reaction...I saw that you reviewed her rendition of My Way first...and wondered how you would react to this one as a second vewing of her talent..would it lose power...so glad to see that it did not. it bowled you over just like the rest of us! I did My Way in a live stream as someone requested it. Then came back to do her audition. I've also done Over The Rainbow in our Live stream today.
My favorite performer from BGT is Leah Barniville, she was on in 2017 she only made the semi-finals but she blew them away Simon said yes one million percent yes,
Leah Barniville was only 15, she sang the love theme from The Godfather, though Irish her Italian was flawless.

She was not a pro performer and said that plenty of times throughout she had one stint on a cruise ship when she was younger and that was it.
She had small gigs on Cruise Ships and had a role in a small town play. How the fuck does that make her a "professional"? Name me one famous cruise ship singer that is publicly well know.

Do you think only people who have had no practice at their talent go on the show?!? Like for instance, the lady with the dogs has never performed before or done county field days etc? She just went “I’ve been training with these dogs at home so I think I’ll go on BGT!” Or a comedian hasn’t done shows or local comedy clubs? They’ve just gone “I think I’m funny in my kitchen so I’ll give it a crack”. Same for magicians, dancers etc etc. Come on! 80% of the acts have done things before so why only singers get this criticism is so weird.

Almost all of those finalists are professionals or semi-pro's in their field if thats the case.
Tbh I wouldn't have cared if she was already a secret billionaire with a huge record deal in place though, I'm just glad the show introduced her to the nation/world. What a voice!
