They always say breastroke is the hardest but for me it was a lot easier to learn this stroke than the front crawl. And the front crawl has a lot more components that are hard to master and also require a lot of coordination
Definitely the best video out there. Cuts out all the BS "hello I'm so and so and I'm going to show you how easy blah blah blah" stuff. Also explains the *principle* behind each part of the stroke
This is the best Breast Stroke demonstration/explanation ever! 👌🤘 I have seen multiple short and long videos which couldn't give me clarity on this stroke. Even videos from reputed channels which were more than 20 minutes didn't take me anywhere. But this less than 4 minute video was all I needed to learn this stroke. I subscribed to this channel after seeing this video as I was thoroughly impressed. Heartfelt thanks to SwimGym team for putting up great quality content! Happy Swimming everyone! 😊
Best technique videos. I am a swimmer 150 minutes weekly. Watching this videos to ensure my swimming technique benefited to the best by engaging the right muscle. My sport watch indicate that i am a medley swimmers with 100m each stroke. Love your videos
I love breaststroke. It introduced me to swimming in the deepend effortlessly in only 4 days. I can now comfortably swim in the deepend, float and go the full length of the swimming pool with just breaststroke.
I agree with other comments, this is the best demonstration of breastroke technique I have found. A question I have is: I have felt that when recovering my legs the pressure of the water on the bottom of my feet (as they go upwards, with the toes a little lower than the heel) actually has a propulsive effect, as well as allowing the body to come out of the water more (because the feet going up pivots the body) but I have never seen this mentioned. I think I can see a little of this in the swimmer in this video.
I’m having trouble with it because I have the thought of a butterfly kick and keep thinking I do the pull and kick at the same time but this video+my coach definitely helped me
Ive heard that back stroke is the most challenging technically, that butterfly stroke is the most challenging technically and now that breaststroke is the most challenging stroke technically on separate occassions. Could maybe swimmers or swim coaches agree on something maybe so I know what to believe?
I have difficulties pushing my chest up after just a few strokes and my arms start to feel tired but i have no problems with freestyle. Can someone please advise ?
Hi. I find breaststroke is the most easy for me, considering that i have free and stress free breathing! i didn't know those parameters and i don't think it's difficult to fix! Thanks anyway. great video :)
the first swimming style I’d been taught at school was breaststroke. if it’d be the most challenging one, why is it taught first? realize I’ve been doing it wrongly and get tired quickly 😂
How about head position. Where are eyes to focused in and out of water? I am old school and am now retraining myself with the dry back technique but I still struggle with not lifting shoulders out o the water enough
Sure you could, but then it would not officially be breaststroke according to the rules. However, you can swim like that in freestyle, if you want to. The freestyle kick with breastroke arms is a good tempo drill though
They always say breastroke is the hardest but for me it was a lot easier to learn this stroke than the front crawl. And the front crawl has a lot more components that are hard to master and also require a lot of coordination
Front crawl is easier for me 😅
Me too front crawl stroke so hard for me.
Front crawl easier for me
you sure? 😂
I find the breathing harder to control whilst swimming front crawl. Breastroke is easier for me to swim for longer without getting tired
Jus as I'd expected, I've been doing it completely wrong.
Mee too😅
Same
Yeah i copy cj (from gta sa) swim move and think it will make me swim fast 💀
@@sdn4424 🤣🤣🤣 same I just copy like walking styles from games, like I start to slouch and walk like Michael for some reason ☠️
Same!
Best video by far. Looks inefficient:
1. Pull as you breathe.
2. Pray, then push
3. Kick afterward.
Do this for butterfly please.
Definitely the best video out there. Cuts out all the BS "hello I'm so and so and I'm going to show you how easy blah blah blah" stuff. Also explains the *principle* behind each part of the stroke
OMG I GOT IT!! FINALLYYYY im ready for comps now! ❤❤❤
1. Pull + breathe
2. Streamline, prepare to kick (1 sec)
3. Actually kick
4. Pause for 2 secs while streamlining
5. Repeat!

I agree. I've watched about 30 videos and this is the best explanation of the cycle and the timing.
agreddddd
Yes, I agree it’s the best video tutorial on breast stroke thus far; Where the timing and technique is explained. Thanks!
Yeah
Best technique videos. I am a swimmer 150 minutes weekly. Watching this videos to ensure my swimming technique benefited to the best by engaging the right muscle. My sport watch indicate that i am a medley swimmers with 100m each stroke. Love your videos
Excellent breaststroke demonstration. The best I've seen yet. Thank you

Clearest demonstration and explaination
Perfect video for learning or tuning up breaststroke. I have seen most videos but this 1 is the best!
Beautiful demostration video! Thank you!
02:49 “Pause for 2 seconds” most useful tip
One of the best videos on breaststroke technique
Your swimming is very beautiful! Thank you very much!
I’m having trouble with it because I have the thought of a butterfly kick and keep thinking I do the pull and kick at the same time but this video+my coach definitely helped me
LMAO, I was trying to kick and pull at the same time 😭
Same 😂
I did this for 20 damn years. Only recently leaned it correctly.
Me too
Same lol
😂
This style of swimming is semi difficult but once you can do it, you will love it ❤
Very clear, very good, now I just need more practice to finish 100m in 1:30
I am fixing my breast stroke skills; i feel more relaxed when swimming. Thanks for sharing this
I have no swimming experienxe but after watching this, i am ready to swim in the ocean. Wish me luck.

Amazing video thankyou!!!!!
the problem is my feet dont go any distance, just my hands. I probably have my feet placement wrong.
This technic difference on butterfly technic. Please correct to me if I'm wrong
Wow,so cool😮😮😮😮
its my favourite....very very easy and i dont get tired
Cool. That's need a lot of training specially on breathing not to drink much water
I have difficulties pushing my chest up after just a few strokes and my arms start to feel tired but i have no problems with freestyle.
Can someone please advise ?
So it’s stroke, kick, pause. A lot of people think the stroke and the kick happen at the same time.
Kalau versi yang kecil kalau versi badan yang kecil kaki kecil bisa nggak Kak
more challenging the butterfly?
Thanks for sharing! ✨🙏💖😁✨
I’m a butterflier and I’m gonna just say that breaststroke is the hardest for me and always has been- I can’t get the legs right I rely on my arms😢
Thanks so much
beautifully explained👍
Hi. I find breaststroke is the most easy for me, considering that i have free and stress free breathing! i didn't know those parameters and i don't think it's difficult to fix! Thanks anyway. great video :)
How on earth do i find this the easiest of all?
Perfect video i saw about breastrop techniques
فيديو مفيد. شكرا لكم. تحياتي من المغرب.
Thank you
So, if the kik ad friction and low momentum, what about if use a butterfly kik instead?
Is this possible?
Thanks for the help
Well illustrated 👌🏻❤️
Exalance very good explanation thanks
Thank you.
I rlly hope this works for my lifeguard training and won’t make me tired
Very 👍, thanks for your help.
Very nice demonstration. But hard enough to practice. Hehe
Are your hands suppose to touch while extending out after the kick?
Anyone else spent the last 20-30 years with your head permanently above the water line and your shoulders and neck rigid.
Yeeeeeep me too! 🤦♂️
Very beautiful ! Thank you !
Excellent indeed!
I was doing it all wrong....and my legs don't do as shown
Beautiful swimming.

Arguably the best breast stoke !
I’m a competitive swimmer, and I still to this day struggle to swim breaststroke properly😂
same with me lol😂
Great video !
I don't know why I always feel like I'm sinking too deep in the water when I do it, any advice?
Same with me
Breast do sink more than other stroke, it's ok😊
the first swimming style I’d been taught at school was breaststroke. if it’d be the most challenging one, why is it taught first? realize I’ve been doing it wrongly and get tired quickly 😂
turns out my trainer did not tell me about the kick
It is very important 👍

How about head position. Where are eyes to focused in and out of water? I am old school and am now retraining myself with the dry back technique but I still struggle with not lifting shoulders out o the water enough

Couldn't you just kick normally (freestyle) , but breast stroke arms? Seems too counter-intuitive
Sure you could, but then it would not officially be breaststroke according to the rules. However, you can swim like that in freestyle, if you want to. The freestyle kick with breastroke arms is a good tempo drill though
Because that is how you do it 😒
I used to say that when I started swimming before haha. You will get used to breathing to ur side in freestyle. It's gonna be hard at first.
I’ll promise you you’ll tire out less if you do breast stroke kick vs flutter
You can use breaststroke arms with dolphin kick legs (which I do quite frequently)...
aha, im wrong
yor editing is like 500k! subs…..
