watching you pack up blue in a pooch was ideal because you were going to dig out the pegs/stakes and tent so time would have been long. so blue would not get cold or frozen that was a nice bit of comfort for him. love this kind of tent liveing, like you said being in a cacoon so comforting. food/book/movies/shelter/sound of wind/dog, ah the life. even being out side is heaven to me in that kind of weather. i'm a cold liveing person.
And there was me giving up my daily 5 mile walk today because i thought the wind was bitterly cold lol.... nothing but total respect for you mate.... absoloutely loved both videos!

I totally enjoyed all of it. I watched both episodes from start to finish. I think this was the most enjoyable camping episode I have ever watched. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us.
Makes my wild camping trips positively mild , fair play for sticking it out for 2 nights . Proper mental conditions shown in a calm manner and with the correct gear you gave us a great film .
Just watched this for the second time. Amazing vid Al. What an experience for both you and Blue. Like you said at the end, seems a shame to leave, but a warm fire and a few beers are waiting at home. Looks like a different world at the bottom. Love it. Keep em comin!
Totally addictive channel Alan, our two Border terriers go beserk every time blue appears on screen 😄. Stay safe out there mate , we're looking forward to more videos.
Thanks very much for showing the video, as I was watching it I thought about the great British Antarctic explorers Scott , Shackleton and how they had to survive with their Heavy gear and clothing.
Brilliant videos Al. Listening to you talk through the scenarios you find yourself in, mentally working through your options & forming solutions is deeply fascinating. We the viewers gain an understanding of the psychological strength it takes to be in these situations. Love all your videos. Appreciate your experience, fitness & sound practicality 😌
Thank you. I try put across my thoughts as when in those situations you definitely become hyper aware of all your surroundings and constantly think of all possibilities.
I experienced my first white out this year on the tops of the Dales after storm Arwen. It's so disorientating, had to rely on GPS to navigate. I can see why you enjoy this kind of thing so much. Cracking set of videos Al and some good advice. Top work.
I’ve been in Switzerland snowboarding in a complete white out and I was the last on the mountain. It was a slow steady down following the Piste edge markers which occasionally I had track back to. GPS can be an amazing eye 👍
Such amazing videos. You never really looked worried. Going out there by choice, knowing what to bring with you to stay safe, and seeing the beauty in all that you saw must have been exhilarating. Having Blue with you for companionship was helpful I’m sure. I feel sorry for the wildlife that live in that area. But I’m sure they know where to hunker down to keep safe and warm. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Continue to stay safe.
Aw I loved this , we (Hubby, 2 dogs and I) are about to embark on our first wild camping trip , we’re certainly not as brave as you lol something nice and easy for us 😊, because I unfortunately have terminal cancer , but wild camping is definitely on my bucket list . Thank you for sharing, and Blue is adorable, our dog (rocky) loves the snow too but he’s a husky / Alaskan malamute lol xx
Keep nailing that bucket list! I hope to inspire people to get out and adventure whilst their bodies and brains can. Great part 2 Al and some very wise words at the end. It's all too common to see people not properly prepared in the mountains. And it can go south ever so quick even in the night of summer. Anyway thanks for sharing Al, and stay safe out there.
To borrow your words, absolutely stunning. I like how Blue seems to be aware of his own limits to, and comes to you knowing you'll pop him away in shelter. Great vids! Thank you!
