About Christy Carlson Romano:
Welcome to the official Christy Carlson Romano TH-cam channel! Christy has been a working actress and singer since she was 6 years old. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 14 to star in the Disney Channel franchise, Even Stevens as Ren Stevens alongside Shia LaBeouf. Christy enjoyed many years with Disney gaining an Emmy nomination for her voice work as Kim Possible and starring on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. She went on to balance her college career at Barnard College, Columbia University with filming movies for ABC Family including: 'Campus Confidential', 'Taking Five', 'The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold', and 'The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream'. Christy returned to Broadway in her mid twenties and learned to be a puppeteer in the Tony-Award winning 'Avenue Q'. Christy was married to her husband on New Years Eve , 2013 in Banff, Canada after having met in a screenwriting class in college. She became impassioned with directing and made her debut in Lionsgate's "Christmas All Over Again". I agree with Candace that shows like Full House let kids be kids, it came across real on screen. Now, unfortunately, it seems forced and like mentioned, waiting for the joke which takes the authenticity and spontaneity away. Old school Disney Channel with shows like Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire rocked! Quality and real life relatable shows without cringeworthy laugh tracks.

It wasn’t as bad then but it did begin every show needing a hook that was either impossible or very unrealistic for a real kid to go through (being a psychic, a pop star, living in a luxury hotel, being a witch)

During Mary-Kate and Ashley's preteen/early teen years, my sister and I thought that there were three sisters, as in Mary, Kate, AND Ashley, so whenever we saw a commercial of their dolls, we'd go, "But where's Mary??"

I completely agree with Candace when she said that nowadays they refuse to let kids on tv shows just be kids. Like Full House was a show that kids and parents could watch together and not cringe at the script. Now every kids show has these corny scripts and jokes that are just horrible.

bob saget actually wanted to leave the show after the 1st season cause of how corny and stupid it was but he just bought a house and his wife was pregnant, so he decided to stay for the paycheck

Definitely not like the ones today where you’re literally waiting for the joke and the laugh track like Candace said . These characters were all unique in a way where none can compare to this day.

If you think about Ren and DJ are kinda similar characters, both are responsible, good role models and a bit perfectionist in their own way. Plus they have a zany sidekick like Ruby or Kimmy. Honestly, this was a good episode!
They still have distinct personalities, but they do have a lot in common.
Also, both shows had the annoying kid who lives next door. Full House had Kimmy Gibbler and Even Stevens had Beans.

I was the older sister. I have 10 younger siblings. I loved DJ growing up. I’m 26 now, and I watch all your hallmark movies.
When I went to San Francisco a few years ago, I literally was trying to find sites based on Full House. I also loved that camp movie. I think about it at least once a year.
Alamo Square is where the Painted Ladies are (the pretty houses everyone thinks are where they live - they're really just some pretty houses lining the park they run around in during the opening), but the actual house is in Laurel Heights at 1709 Broderick St.
I love the nostalgia of this! It was sweet watching some childhood faves having a chat and discussing simpler times. ☺️

It was great when 4 generations got together and shared great times together. Thank you for bring sunshine to us. Candace. Christy, loved watching Even Stevens. My little sister made sure we were all present. She watched everything you did. My children and she were close in age and she made sure they were there to watch. It was good times.. You both are awesome and Candace's character always reminded me of my own sister. I think my sister kind of took inspiration from her as well. She was also a lifesaver with her workouts during quarantine. I followed a few people and I always loved the workouts with her and her trainer. It was tough!

Someone just mentioned that when we watched Season 5 Fuller House bc I couldn't believe that the Olsen twins wouldn't come back not for one episode, even the wedding.

We don’t know that. They all stayed so close. They went to his funeral and appeared to keep a relationship with him. Not wanted to act is different than a private relationship. Plenty of shows didn’t do that.

That was actually Stephanie's room that Uncle Jessie moved in to. That's why she was so upset when he wanted to get rid of the pink bunnies.
And then a couple years later, he told her he was getting rid of them, she said "it's about time!"
I WISH I COULD WATCH IT AGAIN. i mean i was born like 15 years after this show ended probably more but it still feels like my childhood for some reason. its sooo timeless. like i was watching the fresh prince and was amazed at how much it holds up and that feeling is there aswell.

I loved full house when i was a kid I watched it every morning❤️ I know I wasn’t born when it come out but it’s okay. I need to watch it again!!
Fun trivia: full house initially had very low ratings and was almost cancelled after only 6 shows in 1987. But Jeff Franklin convinced them he had ways to improve the show and they agreed. John Stamos remembers critics predicted it would be off air by Thanksgiving of 1987. After following "perfect strangers" for awhile during the 1988 half of season 1 ratings went up, but they where still in danger of cancelling it. It wasnt untill may of 1988 that they agreed to renew. Also during the summer of 88 it picked up views thanks to following "perfect strangers" .

I miss full house being a brand new episode full house was my childhood I was 4 or maybe 5 when I got introduced to this show I was born 1985 so I got to see the reruns on nick at nite in the 90s while watching the new episodes at the same time man time flys by so fast it feels like just yesterday I was a kid and now I’m an adult it’s just crazy

One Dj scene that sticks out is when she had her first boyfriend (Johnathan Brandis, I think) and it inevitably ends after a week (because they are like 10) he says, "you're really nice and all, DJ, but Kathy Santoni is just so...pretty." It was such a real moment and I felt for both DJ and Candace (because she obviously looked just like DJ). I think Becky had her do some self-affirming written exercise after that. Also the eating disorder episode. But you didn't forget Camp Cucamunga. Also, I remember when some people thought the baby on Full House just had one really long name!
