There's some validity to that, but before you make your final judgement, look up what I call the best music video ever made, a scene from the film, "Sun Valley Serenade" with the Glen Miller Orchestra doing an extended version of "Chattanooga Choo Choo" capped by a vocal performance/dance routine featuring the immortal Dorothy Dandridge.
      It'll wire you up.

Ya baby in my 57 Chevy girlfriends head on my shoulder going to the Drive In the Valley then the beach to watch the sun come up. Cheep gas, no law demanding insurance, down payment on a house was around 200 dollars and in California College was free ( Until Ronald Reagan did away with free College ). The best part was all the parties in the valley. Dam we'll never see that again!

Creative artists from the heart & soul, the stuff sticks to your ribs !!! Lucky to grow up in the early 70's where we has a huge arena of musicians to experience, nothing will ever duplicate it !!!

2 years ago I saw Jim Messina at the Gunter theater here in Greenville South Carolina. He and his band were freaking amazing! He did music from Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Loggins and Messina, as well as some of his solo stuff. He and the band were in freaking credible. They even did a monster ,complete version of"Be Free". To do the song with six men and no other orchestration is quite the feat.

I really don't get why they don't tour again. I saw Jimmy in Santa Barbara this year and I have seen Kenny solo and they both are really good individually. Together it's magic though, and it does not have to be only L&M stuff, Kenny can still do the movie stuff and Jimmy can do the solo country. Would be an epic tour and I mean epic. Imagine if they did a tour with Poco. Oh my god I'm losing my mind thinking about it....lol!!!!!!

Everywhere. There is a TON of talent accessible today - more than ever before. The only difference is that you have to seek it out yourself instead of getting it spoon-fed to you by radio and TV. You can find a dozen brand new artists every day if you have the time and an internet connection. I grew up in the 90s, so I also know what it's like to turn on the radio and hear amazing new music all the time. ...but today there is infinitely more music available. Please don't confuse the sad state of _pop music_ with the state of music in general.
..and just for the record, I LOVE Loggins and Messina. My father worked with them quite a bit back in the 80s. Many of my all time favorite musicians were around before I was even born. I 1,000% understand the respect for older music and the frustration with today's pop music. ...but there's more to music than pop. I also can't help but mention that EVERY generation thinks that their music was the last era of good music. I'm sure your parents thought boomer-era music was garbage too. ;)
