I finished hsk 1 in 8 weeks but I studied for hours. I mean sometimes, three to four hours with listening and writing.
      It's possible to complete.
Five months later, after studying hsk2-4 I'm back and I missed one or two Characters every other sentence.
So, I think a refresher course is good every 60-90 days, to go over Everything you learn.
Going to do a Hsk1 refresher course and Lichao Chinese on TH-cam does a great job with teaching hsk standard course books.

I was Obsessed in the beginning. EVERYTHING about chinese was intriguing to me.
I studied for longer hours in the beginning but now, I study for 20 minutes to 2 hours or I'll play a phrase video repeatedly, while I'm at work.
I make goals like , "Learn 30 phrases in 30 days." (How to write and speak) Then meet with my tutor at the end of every month.
      ANYWAY,😌
      For hsk 1&2 level BOOKS, I recommend:🙂

      Hi,
I think your Chinese is at level 1 (biginners)
You may not know how to get started to learn Chinese or how to keep on learning.
There is a method that can be used by anyone who wants to learn Mandarin Chinese. It is not easy and it is not fast, but it works. Naturally, you should go to China if you want to learn Mandarin, but not everyone can do that so you’re left with what you can make do on your own on the internet and this is a guide to do exactly that.
      1. Learn Chinese Pronounciation/Alphabet - Pinyin Lessons Online - Ultimate Guides:
      th-cam.com/play/PLrYgra2FrMh-4BZ10qd8AQ2A-7F1bVgPT.html
This is the first step and also the most important one, given how complex Mandarin pronunciation is.
      2. Learn Mandarin Chinese Lessons for the Very Beginners in 101 Days - EverydayChinese:
      th-cam.com/play/PLrYgra2FrMh_jGBcMmNWPnSh-kHwGiaXG.html
You can learn the basic Chinese used in daily life and this can arose your interest and build up your confidence in Chinese.
      3. Learn Basic Chinese Characters & HSK 1-6 Words & Phrases:
      HSK1: th-cam.com/video/ZdWT2hOq8v8/w-d-xo.html
      HSK1-6: th-cam.com/channels/SXriUqkzZmAQklQ0N9XFVw.htmlplaylists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=12&view_as=subscriber
You can learn Chinese Words and phrases from those videos HSK integrated with practical examples.
This step is the one that is going to take you the longest, but it’s not as bad as you think.
      4. Slow Chinese Reading & Listening Practice:
      th-cam.com/play/PLrYgra2FrMh-2jvZLkAX2nQBYknNj3E0u.html
Practise your Chinese reading and listening as well as pick up Chinese vocabulary.
      5. Different Ways to Phrases in Chinese - Speak More Like a Native: th-cam.com/video/NOGlTv9VHk4/w-d-xo.html
      6. Chinese Grammar Points from Basic to Advanced Level:
      th-cam.com/video/qrXIeWGvHDg/w-d-xo.html
      7. Reading with Chinese Native Speakers:
      th-cam.com/play/PLrYgra2FrMh_kZsWNlwmZcF6Cr1dj_q-9.html

@@EverydayChinese thanks for the suggestions. I'm actually already reach your video(s) on hsk 3. I am pretty sure i'm capable arranging / reading / translating sentences of vocabularies within hsk 1 - hsk 2 level. I believe the reason why i don't have much progress lately because this needs to be practiced in daily life, in other words i have to interact directly using mandarin. I don't have much resources regarding this issue. Watching videos, reading the chinese characters and any other form of passive learning will not progess if i , myself do not use the languange outside of my learning process from these examples.

Hi' I'm a beginner and I just completed this HSK1 section but I have some questions.
    1. sentence structure- Im learning that there is a literal meaning and then there's the translation. Is it ok for me to form my sentences in english format while speaking?
2.Characters- I have in mind that it is ok for me to learn the chinese characters after I've developed a conversational level of mandarin ... is this possible or will I make things harder for myself ?
    3. when Im watching (chinese or taiwan)tv or listening to (mando)music I can understand words I have learned but, when I studying , listening to a quiz, trying to have a conversation Im lost is there something Im doing wrong?
