    Thank you so much for this video! I am a wedding photog and I wanted to make my own background- texturized backgrounds for my flowers this summer and I was brainstorming about the texture part, it makes complete sense to do the texture part first... I really appreciate it!

    I was thinking you could give it a thatch look by using a dry brush across the surface before it dried. Then paint it beige or light brown. That would be neat!

    Oh My! The Out-Takes were awesome! LOVED IT. I'm gonna give this technique a try. I just painted a foam board similar to these. But I think I'm becoming obsessed.

    Very interesting. And did you try using photographs instead, it would be lighter to bring, no?

    Hey Allison, I just had a question regarding the canvas board. I heard some people had trouble with the board bending as it dried. Did you experience this as well? If so do you have any tips on preventing this from happening? Thank you!

      Of course! Good luck with your project! Just make sure it dries a little bit before you turn it over ;)

    Hi Allison , this has been MOST helpful! I tested a small board using plaster of paris which I mixed wth water - but it tended to crackle and chip of of the board- so I'm going to run off and buy the spackling paste. I do have a question- is the paste waterproof ? Im a food stylist and very occasionally a tiny bit of food may drop onto the surface - do I need to seal or wax the board ??

      @allisonjeffersphotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So glad it helped! I would definitely seal it! I think matte mod podge would work great!

    Have you tried plywood instead of canvas?

    • @allisonjeffersphotography
      @allisonjeffersphotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t since plywood is so heavy but I am sure it would work! If I did food photography I would!

      @@subhajitdutta4106 not really, you have cheap ones and you get a lot. A lot of photographers use this.
