    Im 40, with a lot of HDB loan, but the workplace people b*s* drama, low salaries, and high-living costs really make me so blue and down... so im seriously thinking of renting out my hdb, and use the money to repay the loan, and use the balance to rent and live in JB, so that i dun have to worry about work/job again.

      if you intend to spend majority of your time in Malaysia, you need a visa to live in Malaysia too

    Stay at R F Princess only if you need to go to SG very often. Retirees can stay in other areas with amenities near JB town, near Mount Austin, etc....

    Rent need not be RM3000 per month, can get by on RM2000 per month; Grab 8 trips per week will be RM320/mo or just budget RM600/mo instead of RM1200/mo

      Sure depends on where you rent and how big

    Should be enough if one doesn't have housing mortgage but this may not leave much for emergencies or much luxuries.

      Yes this a basic day-to-day budget. You should have set aside extra for emergencies and have a ready insurance plan for heavy medical

    This budget is enough for me as I am a single. I watched other videos on budgeting and they are suggesting a ballpark figure of USD 1k per pax for survival

      I think on a shoestring budget basis this should be enough. But ya USD1k will give more allowance

    Enough when healthy and strong. Not enough when you're sick and diseased. Thanks

    A msian working and living in Din. Interested to look at properties available for msians, which are safe, easy enough to transit JB-Sin, other usual criteria. Which areas do you recommend?

    This is the "now" cost. With yearly inflation, 10 years later will not be enough.

    • @AlphaMarketingSG
      @AlphaMarketingSG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes inflation will eat into all budgets eventually

    Hi Ryan,
    Ref: to the MM2H Silver scheme, which expires after 5 years. Upon renewal, do u need to top up another RM500,000 ?
    In the event, if u choose not to
    renew after 5 years, can u take
    back the balance of the deposit ? Thanks

    • @AlphaMarketingSG
      @AlphaMarketingSG  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No need top up at renewal. Yes you will take back your deposit if you do not renew

    The Malaysian Immigration is rather hostile when they see that you’re going in Malaysia quite often. According yo them we are on social visit pass and not supposed to rent/ stay in Malaysia . So think twice before making the decision to rent/ retire in Malaysia. The govt agencies doesn’t sync. You can rent but the immigration will give you a hard time. Same case if you were to buy a house there.

      If you spend more than half your time in JB, advisable to get MM2H. The relaxed one will be announced soon. Try apply MACS also for automatic clearing

    Healthcare expense, especially for expats/retirees (private medical plan, etc)?

    • @AlphaMarketingSG
      @AlphaMarketingSG  ปีที่แล้ว

      I excluded those coz medical probably case by case basis. But if you hv monthly prescriptions, in MY that's not pricey, maybe RM100-200 per month max. Also if you retired, I assume you ard cleared your insurance plans earlier?
